Spartanical Posted May 19, 2020 Share Posted May 19, 2020 I checked the manual and then stared into my engine bay for about 10 minutes trying to find it. I stopped by the mechanic's, thinking maybe the dipstick fell out, and he couldn't see it either... but also no hole missing a dipstick. Anyone know exactly where I should be looking? r.lee89 Posted May 20, 2020 Share Posted May 20, 2020 Is it a manual or auto? The manual is hiding behind the downpipe on the passenger side near the firewall. KSKarl Posted May 20, 2020 Share Posted May 20, 2020 I didn't see the transmission dipstick on my Baja (turbo/manual) till I pulled the intercooler for some other work. Don't think I want to check it on a hot engine. Yes, I did find it in the owners' manual first... It's still hard to see and no place I want to grope around on a hot engine.
