P06781
My wife decided to park my wagon on a curb, now my RBS lip is history. Any one know of one made out of plastic or urethane? Jim
jsalicru
OEM STi V-Limited. I had one on my STi and it was VERY VERY nice. Withstood quite a few nasty driveways. This is the WRX STi version: http://homepage.mac.com/jsalicru/.Pictures/Photo%20Album%20Pictures/2005-05-01%2012.42.18%20-0700/Image-CBFD0753BA7811D9.jpg "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. Brady
Go with the OEM STi front lip. Urethane or ABS ... can't remember which. It's pricey for a reason.
apexjapan
The OEM STI front lip is pricey, but it does certainly take a beating. Mine has been to Heck and back, literally. Once I nearly ripped it (and the bumper!) off when off-roading it a bit in the wilds of Japan. It got a bit scratched up and ripped out of one of the mounts, but otherwise just kept on going. I still regularly scrape it on driveway entries here in Japan. NatesGr8
the oem sti lip fits? and where can one of these be purchased? any ideas of sites with the best price?
jsalicru
frankly, very few sites have them and their prices are roughly the same. However, that being said, if you don't mind the wait http://www.japanparts.com has the best price usually. The shipping makes the price comparable to other vendors but its typically still lower. The lip is made of ABS. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. And that he tops his cereal with nuts and bolts. All we know is, he's called the Jose." Jim Damn, sorry man I can relate. that's why I hesitate in getting one. My wife scraped my bumper up pretty good on a curb at work on my outback when it was 3 weeks new. THAN she did it again 6mo later. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
PGT
urethane > fiberglass when it comes to being mounted low near the road. Here's the STi lip on a USDM car (mine) http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y124/PatagonianGT/DSCN3229.jpg
