laz
I got my antibodies the natural way. Had COVID for the last two weeks. Lost my sense of smell but it is back. I got my test yesterday and it came back negative. I am lucky that it did not affect me in a bad way. ---
ehsnils
It must suck for those losing sense of smell. I have heard of one that even lost the ability to have a memory of smells.
Infosecdad
I'm at 5 months with almost no smell or taste... Can't say I recommend it.
HDTurbo
That sucks, sir. I think there are some genetic predispositions associated with that. Vehicle related, maybe some 90w up the nose will jar some olfactory recall. Sers tho, best wishes. My loss was brief and early, Nov 2019...’prepandemic’...antibody pos in may ‘20... B-BGTLimited
I wonder if some of your products found their way into the place I work where we run a lot of multimode fiber. (not my decision and some equipment requires it)We make more of industrial light transmission type cables vs data transmission. Our biggest customers are medical for operating light guides and heart monitors, and our government military contract. If I told you any more I'd have to kill you... laz
I’m on day 26. I started smelling it around day 10 but I’m not sure I’m cured just yet. Will keep on checking! ---
Penguin
Glad you’re feeling better. Now that you have anti-bodies you should be able to go do whatever you want. (Still has to be legal)
laz
Thanks!! This is Florida so it has always been YOLO! But yes I should be in good shape for at least 90 days. ---
ehsnils
This happened someone elderly. It is an important warning for that age group. He had his 2nd dose of the vaccine at the vaccination center. On his way home, he was having blurred vision. He had great difficulty in seeing. When he got home, he somehow managed to dial the vaccination center for advice. He asked if he should go to the walk-in clinic or go straight to the hospital. He was told NOT to go to the walk-in clinic and NOT to go to the hospital. He was told to just return to the vaccination center and pick up his glasses!!
chowser51
Got my Pfizer #1 about 12 hours ago. Only symptom is soreness at injection site. Feeling fine otherwise. I'm 46.
amusa
I already had both my vaccine of Moderna. If you are anemia and have a blood disorder. Monitor yourself. I was in bad shape after I got both vaccine. The first one almost took a toll on me. I'm in my mid 40s.
stm25rs
One of my customers was out with covid for nearly 4 weeks. Said it started out with mild symptoms for a few days, then downhill for a few days, then hospital. Was on a ventilator for a week to stabilize his condition, then got antibody treatment, and recovered over the next week. Said it's by far the worst thing he's been through, and this guy has been through some shit. Medical discharge from the military after an explosion shattered one of his legs. Broke his back falling off a roof. Bone cancer in his forearm. He's in the maintenance department, and one of his coworkers apparently came in not feeling well. Ended up with 7-8 people, most of the maintenance team, getting it. One of them (not anyone I've met) died. The guy that apparently kicked it off there is having some heart problems from it. He was at a big wake for a family member several days prior to showing up to work sick.
laz
So did anyone take any kind of precautions to try not to get sick? Honestly I don’t know where I got it but I had been precautious in staying safe. This virus attacks people in different ways and that’s what is scary. ---
Brady
I got both of my Pfizer shots now. First shot made my arm hurt like hell. Enough to wake me up twice the first night after I got it. I would suggest that if you're side sleeper, take which side you normally sleep on into consideration when they ask you which arm you want the shot in. Second shot didn't hurt my arm nearly as bad. I was lucky to not feel any other symptoms on my second shot, but most people told me it was rough, so I didn't have any alcohol for about 48 hours, kept well hydrated, and took 2 advil every 4-5 hours. I'm
stm25rs
In general, what I've seen over the last year (outside sales for industrial process controls) is that the maintenance workers are pretty lax - masks hanging under their chins, eating lunch/taking smoke breaks together, etc. The guy I was talking to said their patient zero would take off his mask when talking to people, despite constant reminders that doing so kind of defeats the purpose. When I meet with engineers at plants they tend to be much more mindful of masks, hand hygiene, distancing when possible, etc
evil03mustang
I think I had it.. felt like my skin was crawling and everything hurt for a few days, then I couldn’t taste or smell anything. Quarantined for 2 weeks in my work truck (2019 freightliner cascadia 126 sleeper) went home 15th day (Christmas Day) Still having issues with smell and taste, but it’s getting better. 10/10 don’t recommend. DickDastardly00
I got vaccinated today. The wait was pretty fast, so far no serious side effects, except I'm growing a third Penis, going to start a career in the porn industry but I need a stage name first. Right now I'm leaning towards Peter Stuffswell but I'm not sure. ♪Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; None but ourselves can free our minds.♫ -Bob Marley, Redemption Song
