Libertarian
I am absolutely dying from this rattle that happens above the right rear passenger that only seems to occur when the sunroof blind is open. Even closing it half way is enough to silence it. But strangely enough the noise can sometimes happen when it's shut but I think I'm just getting delusional. Anyways with the sunroof blind open even banging on the ceiling will cause the rattle so it's definitely there. Something with the curtain airbag I'm assuming? Please tell me somebody has had this and resolved it! Heeeelp! Edited January 15, 2020 by Libertarian
bookem288
I had that happened too. It was the rubber curtain that came out of its track when the sunroof slid back to the open position. It was easy to put back in.
andrelaplume
I had a similar issue....the rubber needed to be lubed. Subaru took care of it. It's back after 6 months. It was just mosiy enough to be heard with the thing slid open...do not hear it when the cover is closed

andrelaplume
Simply lubing the thick rubber gasket around the opening solved the issue....for a few months anyway. The car is sadly a rattletrap.

Brisvegas
What product did you use for lube? I have this problem on my 2013 sunroof. thanks I have used Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant every couple of months from day one and never had a problem ... IMHO any similar protectant would do the job.
