Baldy, then down into Claremont for late breakfast? damn..that sounds pretty good and I'd be good to go if I didn't have to meet up with my brother for lunch (need to save up for some Chinese food )....but I'll be checking this thread frequently... u guys go ahead and do a mini meet this weekend and I'll try to show up for at least an hour or two In Taiwan now... We'll just hang until somebody's gettin' hungry or ready to get moving. come whenever and peel off whenever. Let's keep it simple and informal. We can meet anywhere on Hwy 39 between Azusa and East Fork Rd. If the Hwy 39 @ East Fork Rd. intersection is the easiest way to meet, that's fine. Click here for a road map to East Fork from the 210/RoseMead interchange in Pasadena. Hope this helps. Legasee, you set the meet time since you have somewhere to be. Very early is fine with me. How 'bout we meet Saturday (11/19), between 8 and 9am, at the East end of the bridge crossing the San Gabriel River at Hwy 39 and East Fork Rd? You might want to print out these maps before you head out: Directions to: Hwy 39 (N. of Azusa) and East Fork Rd. Directions from: 39/E. Fork intersection to Mt. Baldy/GRR intersection. Directions from: Mt. Baldy/GRR intersection to Euro Cafe in Claremont. I'll be there around 8. If nobody's there by 9, I'm headin' to breakfast in Claremont. Hope to see some LGT's tomorrow. Then, whoever wants to drive up into the mountains with me can join me. If nobody else responds to this thread before I leave tomorrow morning, I'll be at IN-N-OUT on my bike. Great chat, great vistas and great roads were the order of the morning. And everybody but Sean and yours truly missed it. I think Sean's even got pictures. Let me know how many are interested, and we can collectively decide on the details. Nothing special in mind-- just a hang and shoot the scheidt kind of deal. The 39/East Fork/GMR/GRR/Mt. Baldy loop is just 10-15 minutes away, in case anyone wants to take to the streets before or after the mini-meet.
