ehsnils
A little over a year ago, Caltech's Lihong Wang developed the world's fastest camera, a device capable of taking 10 trillion pictures per second. It is so fast that it can even capture light traveling in slow motion. But sometimes just being quick is not enough. Indeed, not even the fastest camera can take pictures of things it cannot see. To that end, Wang, Bren Professor of Medical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, has developed a new camera that can take up to 1 trillion pictures per second of transparent objects. A paper about the camera appears in the January 17 issue of the journal Science Advances. https://phys.org/news/2020-01-ultrafast-camera-trillion-transparent-phenomena.html
ehsnils
This is the crankshaft for a Wärtsilä-Sulzer RTA96-C engine, the largest reciprocating engine in the world, used in large container ships. It's a 1810-litre engine that generates 108,920 horsepower at 102 RPM, and it idles at 22 RPM... almost 3 seconds per rotation. This crankshaft weighs 300 tons. Adoniram
Pontiac Fiero rebody? Looks like a BMW M1. If it's a Fiero, it's a really convincing rebody.

ehsnils
The M1 is not related to BMW's 1 Series compact executive car which started production in the 2004 model year, nor is it related to the BMW 1 Series M Coupé which started production in the 2010 model year and is a high performance variant of the 1 Series.
