Whopper
My turbo was broke so I removed it. Can I still drive if I plug all the lines? Will my engine blow up?
Eugene Onegin
I can't speak for turbos but my Brother has a car with a super charger ( Pontiac ) and it ran just fine with the blower disconnected .
xtea
Your engine might blow up. We need much more details. Broke turbos cause terminal engines. Also, ask a tuner who knows subarus. Dont drive it because some random on the internet says hes got a brother who took a supercharger off some other make model. Ecus are the opposite of created equal. Its A 94 Legacy sport EJ22t its the closed deck version of the ej22 and its like to a 22b. Im only scared that the vac lines that connected to the air intake before the turbo wont have enough vacuum and It might run real rich because it has a chip in it to give it more gas. Whopper
And a tuner who does allot of jdm mostly honda said it should run but the ecu will just run normal in the vacuum maps.

I would ask a subie tuner. Email Cryotune or tuning alliance. Things that work on other cars usually dont work the same on ours.

solidxsnake
You'll need to re-tune it if you get rid of the turbo. The fueling/timing will be all off with no boost being built. However, it won't destroy anything (except for maybe your cats), since it'll tend to run rich. This is assuming that the block itself isn't loaded with metal shavings from the dead turbo.
