WheelZ
Hey all. I've done a little digging around but it's kind of hard to come across a consensus. I'm about to install a trans cooler so will need to top up fluid, what do you guys use? Some seem to suggest Motul, others suggest OEM... 2010 Gen V wags at about 120xxxK's (not miles). cseagle08
Being that new, I'd suggest the stock Subaru fluid from the dealer (or amazon) that the book recommends.
FLlegacy
Stock fluid, since you have a GT some people might be mistaking your CVT for a manual.
NVAKeith
I always thought the overseas "automatic" fifth gen GTs used the 5EAT, not a CVT. Maybe the OP has a 2.5i and a GT (which would make me twice as jealous since we don't get any fifth gen wagons here). I agree with the above, go for stock Subaru fluid. I wouldn't want to mix whatever is in there with something different.
dgoodhue
The JDM FA20DIT 5th Gen GT had a HTCVT, but that wasn't released until 2013. I would verify what the transmission, but it does make a difference if its a CVT or 5EAT for the fluid.
WheelZ
Haha, shit guys, my bad! I went down a forum rabbit hole yesterday, it seems i may have come out rather confused! 5EAT is what i meant! I'll go make the adjustments...
