    • Rebuild 60K WRX shortblock, keep stock.

    • Buy "Stage 3" block, rebuild B25 heads with fueling and VF52

    • Buy "Stage 3" block, rebuild D25 heads with fueling and VF52

    • Go Crazy, build Stage 3, JMPVF52, GS TMIC, topfeed, etc.

If that's something you want than go a head and paint them. IMO its just a lot of work for something that you can barely see. The pieces that are up top will be easier.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
