chowser51
Got my frame back from coyotekiller. Didn't like the factory gray so had him do a molyresin black. Got my barrel extended and threaded by ADCO. It's ready to go! Sadly I am not back to work till Monday so no range report. I'm too cheap to go to a local range and I hate work enough that I won't go there just to use the range. This is when it was new last month: http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx321/chowser51/IMG_1898.jpg Now sports Hogue wood grips, Wilson Combat front strap and magwell. http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx321/chowser51/r4.jpg http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx321/chowser51/r5.jpg Edited September 21, 2016 by chowser51 Adding before pic
TSiWRX
^ Don't know how close/far it is in relation to you, but First Strike / Strike Sports in Newbury ( http://www.strike-sports.com/ ) is now a flat $15 fee (another $15 for an additional shooter), with no hourly rates. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
chowser51
Newbury is past work. But thanks for the info! I like checking out different gun stores! I'll definitely check it out next time I'm in the area. I'll just wait till I get to work to test the gun. I like not having other people in the way. I have full use of the range and no worries about what someone else is going to do to me.

How is the wait? I usually hit up Point blank at 11 am to get the lunch $9 and beat the rush. I'll try and get that link to work later, it's blocked on this computer. 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
m sprank
A new safe arrived today. Now I can fit all the firearms in a safe again. For now.
m sprank
Both are already full, but I still feel oddly happy inside. You might have a problem with firearms and knives (see addictive qualities) if your safe(s) look like this. The wife is still liking Ohio (without ever visiting), I think my collection might be more appreciated in Ohio than it is in California.

firepyro515
Just picked up this S&W Mod 66-1. Just tore it apart and everything seems to be in good condition. Now I just want to find different grips for it http://i.imgur.com/FAFEKiVl.jpg
rodan
Nice clean 66! Pinned & recessed guns are getting harder to find in good condition these days. I really need to pick up a .357. Haven't had one in the stable for a few years. I still have holsters for 2 1/2", 3" and 4" barreled K and L frame, 4" and 6" N frame, as well as speedloaders for K, L and N frames. I just have a hard time justifying current S&W revolver prices. If you want some really nice stocks, try to find some Jordan style. Hogues are the 'easy button' if you don't mind finger grooves. SBT
LOL. We shall see, you never know. Upstate SoCar - meets the whole SouthCentral and SouthEast needs. Now we're talking. And I've been scoping-out a couple places that look like they'd be ideal to take you to the next level. Think about it. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

I've wanted to go outdoors with the little girl, and we just started doing so this year. When we did shoot there, it was pretty slow on weekday AMs, even during what should have been their peak season. I can't comment on weekends/evenings, however. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

Thanks, I've been looking for a good revolver for a while now. I have my J-frame, but I wanted to get something a little bigger. My buddy owns a gun shop, so he lets me know when some of the nicer older ones come in. Missed out on a really nice no-lock 686 and passed on a couple 19s (-4 and -5). Ended up getting this 66 for about $200.

Norm Peterson
Picked up my NJ Firearms ID card this afternoon, after about a two month wait. $5 fee (is any regulatory agency fee that cheap any more?). Maybe I should put it away so it doesn't get too expensive too quickly with impulse purchases. Something about being retired and on an annual family membership plan at the range . . .
