cryo
Hello all EFI University is one of only a couple schools in the country *see world as well* who's main focus is to set a standard for the automotive performance based community. In most business lines there is a certification process but there is nothing like this in the automotive performance industry. Lawyers, Doctors, Insurance Agents, CPA's, etc have to go through specific certifications and tests to be able to practice in their respective field but nothing like that exists in the performance industry so anyone can start up with enough research and practice. Our goal is to let our customers know we are always growing our experience via hands on knowledge in our day to day business but at the same time seeking out ways to do things better and more efficient so we can be on the forefront of new technology and the newest, best ways to take care of our customers. http://www.efi101.com/ Thanks for the space and the continued support! Th3Franz
Congrats Dave. Is it really worth it? I've heard mixed opinions from well respected tuners. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
cryo
Hello there, I would say a fair amount is a refresher BUT after doing this for years it's amazing that we never get to ask the questions that the books and such don't answer so we end up "finding" the best way to do it rather than a structured plan and ability to find out a little better and more efficient way of doing the same thing. They say you don't know what you don't know.... It's steep but at the same time it's part of a certification process that allows you to make a shop stand apart from thier competitors in an industry where a new shop pops up everyday. This is a way that they can show they have been through formal training as well as all the other benifits. The other benifit is making the contacts in the industry. It's not for everyone but I'm a sponge and have read all my efi books/DVDs/webinars etc numerous times and pick up new info so I feel it's never bad to hear some things a second, third or 10th time since you may absorb different info each time as your experience level grows. Plus it was a fun week in the sun in lake havasu...oh darn Dave [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Providing unmatched customer service and a Premium level of Dyno/E-tuning to the Community cryotuneperformance@yahoo.com facebook.com/cryotuneperformance. cryo
Oh and then a side benifit was getting to tour a family ran turbo rebuilder etc and talk about the nitty gritty of why most people fail when trying to rebuild turbos....even large manufactures have serious clearance issues out of the box sometimes. The Advanced Turbo Concepts class was top notch as well. Nothing like swapping exhaust housings on the engine dyno and evaluating the differences with raw data with turbo impeller speed, boost,AR design etc. Dave [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Providing unmatched customer service and a Premium level of Dyno/E-tuning to the Community cryotuneperformance@yahoo.com facebook.com/cryotuneperformance.
