slvrlegacygt
Just wondering if the new Sti steering wheel will fit a fourth gen legacy. I was as the dealership the other day and noticed it looks like it has the same trianguler shape for the airbag as our cars do. I was looking to see if anyone would know if they are interchangeable. bigBADbenny
It depends on your year model. The LGT steering wheel has mount tabs on the steering wheel frame, under the airbag for cruise etc buttons. For plug n play: Rev A-C has one tab = GD STi steering wheel, Rev D+ with SI drive button and cruise on the rhs swc; has 2x tabs = GR+ STi. Airbag plugs may differ but iirc the charges are swappable between horn pads. The VA Sti steering wheel and airbag combo seems to have more in common with the BM/BR wheel. For non-pnp, sky's the limit I'm after a GV black button horn pad please
DONDOLO
hmm im wondering the same thing, but im pretty sure that the 06 Sti airbag will fit into my DAMD steering wheel in my 06 spec B. DONDOLO
Well I have to get a local air bag, apparently you can't ship airbags..
bigBADbenny
It depends on the vendor and shipper. Also the charge can be removed from the pad if air freight is required. Just swap in your charge.

bigBADbenny
Was the GD STi airbag plug compatible with the LGT plug?
DONDOLO
Was the GD STi airbag plug compatible with the LGT plug? Some are and some aren't it depends on the year of the car. In the case that it isn't you can use an 8mm socket and swap out the charge from your airbag and onto the new airbag and it will work fine no problems. aj2four0
That looks great Dondolo -- Is that the 2015 wheel? P/N:34312VA020VH Why is this not a more popular swap than the damd/provo/ etc wheels at half the price? My stock wheel on my 05 lgt has seen better days (warn/frayed), so looking for a new replacement. I was going to go junk yard picking... but @ 300ish... I could be persuaded to swap in the STI wheel.
