BostonLGT
Hope the previous owner didn't expose it to too many of the potholes and terrible roads here before you got it! I lost an 18" rim and low-pro tire to a pothole the size of a manhole... Nice ride tho! Looks great! I have been wondering what mine would look like if I removed the chrome from the grille and painted it body color, and now I know. First summer project! emericareaper2
Replaced my front o2 sensor yesterday as well as I installed a alternator cover. How they should have came factory. And yes I'm using a sledgehammer as a hood rod until I can find one. http://i.imgur.com/0KCxnAt.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Dr5O1wC.jpg Invidia uppipe! http://i.imgur.com/Tbf87rq.jpg
emericareaper2
Also forgot to mention I sold my WRX today! Got damn close to my asking price so I'm pretty happy. I have around $3800 now to spend on the Leggy. Already ordered my rims along with an Accessport http://i.imgur.com/kxzoxHj.jpg
alyolles
Awesome man, I got a red one about six months ago. Next week is warm here, let the mods begin!
emericareaper2
Got my Tein's on today. Pretty easy job overall. The rear bolts required some heat to break loose but that was the only hiccup. Looks, feels & handles awesome! I love these springs. Ride quality feels basically the same as before. http://i.imgur.com/pwUzR8c.jpg Also while the strut was out, I cleaned up the rust on the mount. For some reason this side got rusty. Also cleaned up the bolts. The little things do count http://i.imgur.com/CAtHSm2.jpg
emericareaper2
Got some sweet stuff today! V3 Accessport came & I love it. It's so fun to use! Flashed to stage 1 & that woke the car up a bit. http://i.imgur.com/KbsxCp5.jpg Got this bad boy today http://i.imgur.com/HoWrz6w.jpg Also got some meat today in preparation for my rims that should be coming tomorrow! http://i.imgur.com/4HbnhnX.jpg Saturday is going to be the big install day. Going to try to get the entire stage 2/vf52 complete. Spoke to Brentuning as well & they are going to be sending me a custom e-tune
Mike07LGT
Awesome! Im sure you are excited.. May I ask how you attached the V3 Holder to the car? what did you use? im having trouble finding something sticky enough to hold the Accessports weight in the holder they provide.. Otherwise looks like your car is gonna be fun ! 03 WRB WRX (RIP) 04 JBP STI (sold) 07 DGM Legacy GT (RIP) 12 OBP STI (DD)

Simply stuck it on that part of my dash Yea the stuff mine came with Didnt last long and I've tried 3m and Velcro and the unit is too heavy for how little surface area sticks to car 03 WRB WRX (RIP) 04 JBP STI (sold) 07 DGM Legacy GT (RIP) 12 OBP STI (DD)
emericareaper2
Downpipe came today along with my rear sway bar & my rims! Painted them as well http://i.imgur.com/F8ybwk7.jpg
emericareaper2
Had a fun day today (sarcasm). Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong. I had to heat about every exhaust bolt, fuel pump nut was stripped(took 30 min to remove on nut), EGT sensor got stuck & then I had so much trouble installing the Walbro. Took me almost 2 hours to install the pump. Then, I find out that my Brentuning map is "locked to a V2 accessport". Awesome. So now I gotta wait til Monday to tune the car. I did thankfully get my wheels mounted & drove the car home (no boost). VF52 went in pretty easy as well as the uppipe & DP. I also pulled the turbo banjo bolt. Holy shit. I couldn't even see through the filter it was so bad. So now I have a free flowing oil line. Everything seems fine so far. I'll have to roll my rears soon as it rubs really bad. http://i.imgur.com/UCfa7ah.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qZ4wXdq.jpg
LatentWagen
Them's some nice wheels! Some rear camber would help with the rubbing, unless it's on the inside. LW's spec. B / YT / IG
emericareaper2
^Same situation I ran into with my WRX. The inside of the rears stick out where it meets the tire. I'll probably spend some time today rolling them with my fender roller
emericareaper2
Finally got the right Brentune! Holy shit this thing scoots. VF52 pushes 18 psi as of right now. Going to do some more logs tomorrow to get it dialed in. http://i.imgur.com/64XbOBF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ZAZIWfj.jpg

BrianEarlSpilner
I had to get rid of those rubber ends for it to seal properly on the TB and TMIC with the higher psi. Did it split the TMIC too? Maybe bullet proof mod it for higher psi. I had an uphill battle with my upgrades too.
emericareaper2
I just ordered a Mishimoto hose with next day air. So that'll hopefully be on tomorrow! The TMIC looks fine. Glad I found it though when I did! Honestly thought the turbo blew
emericareaper2
TBH installed & back to boosting! Hose is pretty tight fitment but on. Somebody on reddit said my stock turbo inlet is likely to go next so I'll keep an eye out on it. I also did a dyno run with the AP. 3rd gear 2500 start rpm to 6500 rpm. 322 hp 340 tq Not too shabby! I'm satisfied
emericareaper2
Welp, the original clutch is finally starting to slip. Figured it would go soon. So I ordered an Exedy OEM kit. Any tips on installing the clutch? Going to be pulling the tranny
emericareaper2
Installed my Kartboy short shifter just to see what it's like. Badass. emericareaper2
Fairly certain something is broken/blown. When I bought the car, I noticed quite a bit of oil consumption. About a quart every 500 miles. I figured it was the turbo going since it wasn't working right. Since going stage 2, I notice some smoke on startups & a little when romping on it. Also notice my consumption went to about a quart every 400 miles. I still need to do a compression test to see if that's my problem but I'm certain it's something internal. Oh well. Probably just buy an STi shortblock & have it installed at my local shop.
Nightmaresmk
Do a leakdown. sounds like a ring issue.
TovarishGruzin
Very nice car. Grats on the purchase. I'm also having trouble going into second and third gear, hopefully oil change will fix that. Did you ever figure out the power steering issue? Last few days mine has been really bad in the morning. Today it actually wouldn't turn and was screeching and vibrating when I tried to turn the wheel. Was fine after few seconds of driving.
