The 6MT is split at the center, and therefore immune to the types of failures that the blast blates remedy I spoke to the guys at Andrewtech and they seem to think that it has less to do with the case halves and more to do with so much torque on such a tiny input shaft. Of course it doesn't help the numbers when you have a young fool high revving and dropping the clutch and then posting a thread about how he needs a transmission since the LGT's are so weak. For the record, I'm not saying I necessarily agree with Andrewtech though they have a point. I'm sure it's a combination of things. I have a hard time believing that these blast plates don't help. I would love to see some hard data but Byron likes them so it's hard to argue with that! Updated parts list since original part-out here. Original Full part-out of my LGT HERE! Yep, I still love mine on every shift. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
