Jduke
Not sure if this has been talked about... I did a search. Anyhow was installing front sway bar (I don't think I would have noticed if I had not done this) and noticed what I thought was oil residue all over the front underside of the car, but It was very evenly applied from the plastic protected area (oil filter/drain plug area) back. I looked real close to see if it was leak, nothing coming from the filter area and drain plug area were clean clean. Checked the trans oil, and it was full - smelly but full. So Im not sure what happened. It does not smell like oil or trans fluid but My first thought was trans leak or oil leak. But then I thought maybe some type of protection spray? Any ideas? John D. racerdave
Yeah, that stuff must be on all of them. I got my son a cool little remote control go-kart and he kept driving it under the car while getting used to it. Kept getting the poor little Jeff Gordon driver's helmet all full of the stuff. mele63
You'll also find it on the inside of your front wheels (and tires if you look closely). I sure hope they have a robot spraying on that sh#t at the factory; talk about a nasty job!
