  1. I just wanted to let everyone know I have 6 harnesses ready. I also got a lot more connectors that came in today.
  2. Hmm I wonder why your jdm hvac looks so dim? Are you running a ground to the stereo and then to the stock ground clip on the body harness? This might be a stupid question but did you solder your wires together? I use special crimps that are used in racing harnesses and is used on the stock body harness by Nissan. Then I just heat shrink over it because it's a super strong crimp. Not like the ones you buy at the auto parts that have that plastic cover. The crimps I use are all metal. It could as simple as a loose wire. Let me know if I can help out in any way. I appreciate your comment on my harnesses!
  3. Update Harnesses have been made and here are some updated pics.
  4. Update I started working on harnesses tonight. I'm hoping I can get these completed by next week. The next pictures I provide will be of these harnesses wired directly to the 14 pin stereo adapter harness.
  5. Update I got the test harness completed and tested in the car. Everything worked great, only thing that freaked me out was that the screen went blank on me. I was like wtf really haha. So, I grabbed my personal harness that's been wired with my stereo and it did the same thing. In conclusion make sure your car battery is fully charged when testing things. It didn't click that it was the battery even after my car stereo went blank as well lol. Two harnesses can't be doing the same exact thing especially the original harness that's been working perfectly in the car right? . Any who below find pics and a YouTube video I uploaded of everything working great before it went blank on me lol. YouTube is still processing the HD version and should be complete in a while. UPDATE: I got the car battery fully charged and everything with the climate control is working perfectly like the video. Once, I got my new sized wires I'll make sure to build harnesses and test them before I send anything out. YouTube Video:
  6. Thanks! I'll have to make another one for the new wire spools that I ordered last night.
  7. UPDATE Well I started working on my example i88 harness tonight. I'm pretty much done with the i88 harness and will be hooking it up to a spare stereo adapter I have. I'll test my i88 wire harness tomorrow. While getting this harness put together I noticed that the wiring I have is to thick for the connectors. I had to order all new wiring tonight, and I should be receiving my new wiring next week around Wednesday. The provided pictures are not the way my i88 adapters will look. I will be wrapping the harnesses in wiring loom so it looks cleaner.
  8. UPDATE I got in some of my connectors. I should be able to start making harnesses this week once I get the rest. Hope everyone is having a great day!
  9. I'll be receiving my connectors this week and will be able to provide pictures of the completed harness. Thanks.
  10. All 14 pin stereo adapters are new and not used. Just wanted to provide clarification just in case if you are wondering. Thanks.
  11. I'm unsure if they're active or not. I just went to my local pick and pull to obtain some radio harnesses for testing. Once, I'm past the prototype phase I have a few 14 pin harnesses to provide to people. My plan is for people to only need to wire in the car stereo and not need to worry about having to wire in the i88 adapter. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate in private messaging me. I've edited this post to advise that all 14 pin stereo adapters are new and not used. Just wanted to provide clarification!
  12. I'm very glad to hear that because I just made an order to make 15 harnesses. If anyone is interested please don't hesitate in reaching out and private message me. Depending on how everything goes I will decide if I will be buying in bigger bulk for future harnesses.
  13. Well everyone I decided to pull the trigger on these connectors. If you want to pre-order I won't have a picture of the harness since I haven't received the connectors. Message me on here if you're interested or have any questions.
  14. That totally makes sense. I'm waiting to hear back from a company. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on these harnesses. First, I'll have 14 and once those sell I'll buy connectors in bulk. I'm so glad to hear that! It's very reassuring to hear that people are interested in a harness. The way I am I always overbuild any harness I put together.
  15. That's what I'm thinking. I also did the double din swap on my car. I just want to be another option for people in the community.
  16. Just testing the water. I'm looking into expanding my knowledge to Subaru's. I know there are two others that make i88 adapters and I'm not trying to step on any toes. I know I've read people in the community mention that one is difficult to get ahold of and the other is a bit expensive. I'm hoping I can be the one considered the middle ground. Just wondering if anyone in the community would be interested in this option. I've looked into building prototypes and I'm able to source the connectors directly from the manufacturer. My connectors are the exact connectors used by Subaru. I use only 18-gauge American made primary wiring, and Raychem DR-25 heatshrink in my harnesses.
  17. Update Over the weekend I picked up this injen cold air intake for a 2008 wrx for $60. My plan is to design an adapter and 3D print it. That way you can bolt on your stock maf sensor. I think it could be a great addition for the LGT community. Especially if someone finds a deal on an air intake from a wrx they wouldn't have to avoid buying it. I'm also thinking of designing an air intake for the LGT. Maybe I can TIG weld one up out of stainless or aluminum. In the meantime I'll be buying an AEM dry filter since this one is pretty dirty and messed up.
  18. Installed a couple of parts I picked up from the junk yard. I have the rear cup holder but it was broken and tried to glue the portion where the spring goes in. Unfortunately, it wasn't successful and I ended up buying a used not broken rear cup holder from ebay. Just waiting for it come in before I put the center console back into the car. Also, I found a gentleman I will be buying is old shift boot. The previous owner had a shift boot that wasn't quality and faded. I tried dying the shift boot with no success. Plus the old owner installed the clip that the shifter clips into incorrectly. It wouldn't allow me to put in the shifter into the shift boot. I should be getting that shipped to me this weekend. I also received my 90 degree fittings from vibrant today. It's the last of my fuel line fittings I needed and can get the new lines started asap.
  19. That's a great point. I bought a new maf when I was initially trying to figure out what was wrong with the car. I will be getting a protune any way but I wasn't planning on hitting 350hp. I was shooting for 300hp for a daily. I guess I have to think about it. I keep thinking about just building my own air intake, gives me a reason to bust out my tig welder.
  20. Hey man I appreciate you making the suggestion. Maybe I'll consider it in the future. Yea, I think I'll just stick to the stocker for now. I wish they made an adapter plate for something like. Maybe I can make one for my set up. Possibly 3d print if or something.
