  1. I'm so glad to hear that the i88 harness worked out for you! The new head unit and climate control look great.
  2. UPDATE Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything on the car. Life has been getting in the way and every time I get some money saved for a tune something else pops up. Life I guess! I've been working slowly but surely on the car. She's pretty much buttoned up. Over the weekend I finished installing the 08 wrx radiator. I'm glad I read that write-up in detail because she went in perfectly. My old radiator had a bottom piece broken where it goes into the bottom radiator mount. I've installed the front coilovers only. I still need to get the rear installed and dialed in. I also picked up a BaysonR front lip and I must say it's a very nice lip. Things left to install is the IAG AOS, Grimmspeed TMIC, BPV, and AEM Fuel Pump. I also recently picked up a double din head unit that I'll be doing a video with the Tight Fit Fab's i88 harness. I'm close to the finish line!! http://i.imgur.com/DnzHWEKl.jpg
  3. I appreciate everyone's feedback. Hopefully, I can get someone to work with me where these climate controls can be had a reasonable cost. That way it makes sense for individuals. So far some of the importers I've spoken with aren't willing to budge. I hope this other company that offers them overseas is willing to work with me and allow me to assist with distribution
  4. Hello everyone, Just wondering how many of you would be interested if we had a US distributor of the JDM Dual Zone Climate Control Double Din. Maybe they can offer everything as a package deal? Thanks,
  5. Sorry I haven't been on here. I've been pretty busy, which is a good thing. I appreciate the kind words! I really enjoy helping the community and it's awesome to hear from people I was able to help out. You know if you guys want to leave feedback on that website, it's always welcome and appreciated.
  6. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate in reaching out.
  7. Thank you for the kind words and for putting my website on here. I just ran out of i88 harnesses and currently working on 50 more. I should have them done next week.
  8. Thank you, sir! I 3D printed a AN fitting vise clamp jaws that worked out great. I'm pretty happy with the way the lines turned out.
  9. I finished up my fuel system under the hood. I think it turned out pretty well. I was hoping the 10ft of -6AN vibrant fuel would be enough. I was very happy I didn't need to go out and get more. I really liked the Deatschwerks fuel regulator because it has 4 inlet ports. It made things easier to install and I could choose which port to use for my fuel pressure gauge. I kept all of the wrappers and boxes for all the parts I used. I figured if someone wanted to make their own kit the part numbers below should help. Vibrant Performance Part List: 1 = -6ANx-6ANx-6AN Male Y fitting; Part# 10806 1 = Black nylon braided flex race hoe, -6AN, 10ft roll; Part# 11966 7 = -6AN 90 degree Swivel-Style Hose End Fittings; Part# 21906 5 = -6AN Straight Hose End Fittings; Part# 21006 2 = -6AN Female Quick Disconnect Fittings; Part# 16885 4 = -6AN Flare x -8AN Straight Cut with O-ring; Part# 16827 3 = -6AN Flare x -6AN Straight Cut with O-ring; Part# 16826 Deatschwerks Part List: 1 = DWR1000 Fuel Pressure Regulator; Part# 6-1000-FR-B 1 = Analog Fuel Pressure Gauges; Part# 6-01-G Pics of the install: http://i.imgur.com/juThpUZl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rNDQTOZl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vvftb9ql.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LSJhzYul.jpg http://i.imgur.com/sKLC9Odl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vxO4Pmml.jpg
  10. I hope this gets corrected because I haven't been able to post or respond to messages. I still can't log in on different browsers.
  11. Update Well, I got the motor in 2 weeks ago. I've been working on the car here and there. The wife had surgery and I've been taking care of my girl. I'm hoping I can get a lot of the work done on the car over the weekend. On a side note I've been hitting up my local junkyards and I scored on some weather tech floor mats for $6. They were super filthy, covered in sticky stuff and hair. Nothing my pressure washer and elbow grease couldn't fix. Motor getting hoisted up ready for the new clutch. http://i.imgur.com/QdFKEtKl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/O9GE6wQl.jpg I've never had so much trouble getting an engine back into a car. But this freaking thing fought me the whole way. I guess rushing things to beat the rain isn't a good way to work lol. Either way, I got her in! http://i.imgur.com/UEk9OkMl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/L0Arhcgl.jpg I want to thank everyone who suggested that I test fit my new TMIC. Since I bought a rebuilt turbo they ended up using bigger studs. So when trying to bolt the Grimmspeed turbo adapter it wouldn't even bolt up. I had to drill out the holes and buy different bolts. It took a bit but she's good now. http://i.imgur.com/lrn8g3Kl.jpg Floor mats getting washed up http://i.imgur.com/kP9TLwGl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/eZBF06ul.jpg http://i.imgur.com/AjBab8ul.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3lU1CnUl.jpg Out with old 08 Impreza floor mats http://i.imgur.com/eCODM4ql.jpg http://i.imgur.com/akVM6cEl.jpg New floor mats installed. http://i.imgur.com/Co7mk0ml.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JJb5kYXl.jpg The plan is to buy coco mats and use those during the summer. During the winter I'll run these weather tech mats. Here's a pic of a set of coco mats in my 240sx. Old school Porsche's used to get these from factory and I just love the look. http://i.imgur.com/CemiWVpl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/gtKVJ3Xl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/j93JUi2l.jpg
  12. Hey white....I clicked on the link it went straight to my build thread.
  13. When I ordered my short block I ordered it from https://www.flatironstuning.com/ I've bought almost everything I've needed directly from these guys! Awesome dudes to work with and always willing to help! Here's my build thread. I just threw in the engine this last weekend. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/05-lgt-5spd-ej257-type-ra-build-282192.html
  14. Hey buddy I remembered you telling me to do this months ago. I'm planning on doing that tonight with the throttle body coupler. It should go smoothly since I got rid of all OEM fuel/vacuum lines related to the stock fuel system.
  15. Update It's been a while since I've updated this thread. I'm shooting to have the engine in this week and have been installing parts. I got my up-pipe heat wrapped tonight just to keep temps down. The turbo has been installed and I think I'm pretty much ready to go. I've installed some of the fittings that are needed for the IAG AOS, I figured it would be easier while the engine is out. While installing the AOS I noticed that the old owner cut off the nipple off off the PCV cross pipe. I don't know why he did that but I had to get a new wrx one from the dealer. As I'm writing this I just thought about installing the Grimmspeed throttle body coupler for the TMIC. That's the next thing to be done before the engine goes in. http://i.imgur.com/pY3UiTcl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wBwwdArl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SzRYjd1l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SL0lJ62l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/aIryPo1l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JM2NGn3l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/b6g551Il.jpg
  16. That's awesome man. I keep hearing that it's easy to make 300hp on the vf52. I think 300hp should be a fun daily. I'm running pretty much the same setup except I'll be running 1050x injectors. I haven't put up an update but the engine is pretty much complete. Only thing I was just switching out a few things. I've removed everything related to the fuel system under the intake manifold. I figured I'd get everything that needs to go on the engine related to the IAG street series AOS. I'll be installing my verus clutch fork and pillow ball this week and have my engine in the engine bay next weekend.
  17. Thanks for the information! I'll for sure keep an eye out and maybe pick one up.
  18. No I didn't know. I need to get my car running so I've they will be offering a hard pipe turbo inlet I'm in to buy one. I just have to get something to get me by. I keep thinking about the Rev9 turbo inlet for like $90 bucks.
  19. That's exactly how I was thinking about it. I was talking to a couple of places and they advised that the Cobb turbo inlet doesn't fit very well. They couldn't tell me much more information on the Torque Solutions piece. I currently have my engine on my engine stand and still need to install the intake manifold on the engine. I did notice last night that the current turbo inlet that I have has a super cheap clamp. I think this weekend I'll swing by summit racing and pick up a quality clamp. Hopefully, that helps with making sure my current turbo inlet actually stays on and doesn't slide off. If that doesn't work then I'll probably pull the trigger on a new turbo inlet. Thanks for the information. Some people recommended the Rev 9 turbo inlet. Honestly, it doesn't look to bad and looks like it fits super well.
