fs - location: NY AVO world center pipe
Mechazilla posted a topic in Member Classifieds (2005 - 2009)
SOLD Hi all, I have a almost new AVO center pipe for sale. I bought it on here from Blackbeard, never installed them. (I went another setup I'm happy with.) Asking $250 (You can thank Blackbeard for the generous pricing.) Pick up in Brooklyn only please. Original listing. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/nj-avo-midpipe-282513.html?t=282513 From the original listing. "AVO world Centerpipe PN#s1x03g3ma065j - (Used for 14 miles - my trip home from work.. literally) Long and short of it is I installed it and drove home, then I found out my oem exhaust flanged are so trashed that couldnt even hold it together when I punched it and the flange rot blow out on the first highway pull. But that wasn't enough, since my driveway has been recetly repaved its steep, and I Scrubbed the rear bend (near the diff) ever so slightly, and thats the only blemish on them, otherwise they are like new, and that shouldnt effect performance." -

Adding AUX input (Grom USB3?)
Mechazilla replied to Mr. Electric Wizard's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
To add to the above, I think the Grom BT3 is the model Infosecdad is speaking about. They also make an accessory for an additional usb plug which is nice. -
There's a rebuilt VF40 in a FS thread. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/ny-rebuilt-vf40-turbo-283174.html

New radio solution from the mainland?
Mechazilla replied to EatingInternet's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I would be interested in buying one too. -
Shipping Prices of exhausts is exhausting for all parties. Is anyone going back to stock? Getting rid of their money pit LGT? I'm just getting started throwing money at mine. Ideally, an axle back to fit my AVO center pipe. Given many exhausts are cat back, I would consider the other options. Thank you

Probably not worth the shipping, but what exhausts do you have? -

ALL of Airbag wires cut
Mechazilla replied to Ninjacheezit's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Wow, the only person I know who would just cut out wiring harness is my electrician friend who thought he was going to upgrade it. Other than that, I would imagine it's someone selling off parts. Good luck, hope you can find a replacement easily. -

Weird switch found in driver side fuse box
Mechazilla replied to moddingbug's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Any progress with this mystery? Does the car run? Have you looked at the back of the switch? I'm going to presume those wires connected to it. -

Am I the only one who would have tried the switch? And or wire it back together and try it? -
Thanks for confirming the price isn't outrageous. Once I looked under the car and saw the paths of the lines, I figured it was going to take some shop time to fix it. I'm battling alternative side parking here, so I'm not comfortable working on the brakes in the street. I've read many times on the forum to have a separate bank account for these cars, so I've been preparing mentally for the costs. The car only has 39k on it, so I'm keeping it for a while.

I had a mouse climb in through there and live in my trunk for a bit. His name was SubaSqueak.

My rear drivers side brake line rusted out a few weeks ago. I checked with SOA and a local dealer. I got the same response, it was taken care of. They couldn't tell me when, which I find to be lame. There were a few warning signs. First was brakes were a little softer. At a stop, the car would start to creep forward a little. I thought I was just tired and lifted on the pedal, nope. Last was the "brake" light came on and fluid was low. Towed it to the shop, on the lift it was obvious the driver side was leaking out. Checked the passenger side, it looked like a matter of time before it went. Now I'm fixing both sides and the one above the gas tank.
