  1. Right, thanks. My car was sold in May or June 2016 so not sure it makes the manufacturing cutoff anyways. Thanks for providing those Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Those of you who got the letter in the mail, does it show up as an available recall on the Subaru recall website: https://www.subaru.com/vehicle-recalls.html Checked my VIN and it says no recalls available.
  3. Sorry, I mis-read. Hope you find a solution! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Your issue isn’t with the stereo, not with CarPlay. I have an aftermarket stereo and CarPlay works perfectly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I tried one and returned it. I bought one to try to reduce the touchiness of the throttle. Seemed to work OK, but wasn’t worth it to me. I didn’t have any CELs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That seems like overkill for dynamat, no? MLV is much for effective at sound deadening Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Dynamat is not a cost effective sound deadener. Use some mass loaded vinyl for that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I did mine by the front drivers side wheel well - there’s a grommet you’re can go in through there. Pretty easy, and there are already cable holders there for other wires Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What do you guys think of a tire size of 245/40/18 for our cars? There’s a set of Sparco Trofeo 5s for sale near me with all seasons, basically new for a good price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have this same issue on my '16, it's gotten worse this winter and is pretty loud now. I guess I am SOL since I'm out of warranty?
  11. Wonder if my car is affected. Bought it used last year so I never get any recall notices. Is there a vin checker yet or is it too early? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If you read the manual, it says you can use 5w-30 if you have to, but to change back to 0w-20 as soon as possible. Still no clue what the point of this is. They designed the engines to use 0w-20. The majority of the oil consumption were due to the tolerances in their short block ring designs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Probably not your cause, but my fathers truck had a similar issue - turned out mice chewed one of the tubes for the washer fluid. I would try to washer fluid lever and see if you see any leaking in your engine bay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. FWIW my car had the fuel filter replaced around 30k according to CARFAX. Must have been defective Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I notice the instability on the highway as well, but adding the 20mm RSB has helped me. My mother got an ‘19 Outback loaner and the first thing she said when she got home from the dealer was how awful it wandered on the highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Probably has something to do with winter blend gas as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Unless you have access to the stock radio free, why not just get an aftermarket stereo instead? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. You really can’t judge oil just by looking at it. If you really want to know the life of an oil in your car, get a used oil analysis by someone like Blackstone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The manual calls for 0w-20, why would you use anything other than that? People have tried different weights to see if it helped oil consumption (which it never really did). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Is it possible to check at the dealer what version my engine programming is? I have the exact opposite problem - my throttle is too touchy. It is impossible for my to roll into the throttle. Even pressing the throttle a little bit gives it way too much input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I had good luck with Geomet coated rotors here in MA. Much less corrosion vs regular rotors. Hope they work well for you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Always a benefit to getting narrower tires for winter. Better traction. Depends how much snow your father will see. If it was me I would probably get 17” wheels with a narrower tire and bigger sidewall (for pothole protection). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. My car got totaled so I needed a new car. Didn’t have the luxury of shopping around [emoji2369] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Looking at the history of my car, seems like the fuel filter was changed around 30k (CARFAX history). Other than that haven’t had many issues, even though I got the car in February. Really debating selling it because I can’t stand how it drives, the throttle is impossible to drive smoothly on this car. I barely touch the gas and it gives too much. There is no in between. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I thought this was called piston slap, no? I have this pretty bad when my car is cold as well. Initially I thought something was wrong with my car when I first got it because my Impreza never sounded like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
