  1. I am going off what the service manager told me and now that you mention that and looking at my first service paper it does say they replaced the flex pipe no mention about cat. So either the dealer messed up it and didn't replace the part or they didn't input it into subaru system which is why it indicated my car had a recall. But they did the WUJ-95 twice.
  2. My point is that I had the flex pipe replaced back in early 2020 under this recall number but at that time it was an official recall. I got a letter about a week ago stating there is a recall with the same number and this time they replaced the catalytic converter. Jus thought I would let people know.
  3. Subaru dealer did the work under WUJ-95. The replaced the catalytic converter. No I did not pay because it was classified as a recall.
  4. I got a letter in the mail last week about a recall, WUJ-95. I called the dealer up and they said yes there is a recall and to bring the car in to get the work done. I had this work done already back in early 2020 but at that time there wasn't technically a recall. I asked the dealer if there was an issues with the first replacement part and he said the first time it was the flex pip but this time it's the cadillac converter that is being replaced. Not sure if peps are getting letter from Subaru but thought I would let ya know.
  5. Sorry for posting in Media Galleries, can someone move it to Subaru Legacy Forums > Model Specific Forums please.
  6. I need to replace the passenger housing mirror unit. I ordered part number Subaru Genuine 91036AL21A Mirror but that one doesn't match my cars connections but the Subaru place told me that was it. I was replacing it this weekend and noticed that my old mirror case had 5 connectors and the new one 91036AL21A only had 3. I can't find no other part number that would match my current mirror. Car is a 2015 Subaru Legacy Limited, eye sight, mirror has spot light, heat and has blind spot detection. I tried looking on Subaru oem parts web site but I can't find the one I need. Anyone know which mirror unit has has the wiring for all these?
  7. The dealer called and said they took the timing chain cover over and that the guides had groves on them. They believe this is the issue, i will keep ya posted in case anyone has issues.
  8. Yesterday i got my voluntary recall for WUJ95 I am in the US. Which the dealer had already replaced.
  9. The dealer fixed the cam seal on my 2015 suabru legacy but after i got the car back i noticed that the engine sounded different. I mentioned it to the dealer and even showed the dealer rep and he said he can hear it. The best way i can describe it is that it sounds like some gears winding up. I left the car at the dealer so they can try to locate where the noise is coming from. They called me back and said the noise is coming from my timing chain area. They explained that they had to take the engine apart to fix the cam leaks and in doing so they they replaced the water pump because it was leaking and tighten the timing chain up. I asked them if they replaced the pulleys and tensioners and they said no. So i am thinking that this noise might be from the tensioner since they tighten up the timing chain. Any thoughts? Link to car sound video.
  10. If it's replaced by the same part i don't see why my mpgs would drop even by 1-2 mpgs. I could be wrong but it seems as nothing to account for a drop in fuel economy. The car is not throwing any codes.
  11. I reset the mpg gauge thing everytime i fill up so iam keep an eye on mpgs. I have driven it 89 miles since i got back.
  12. So i took my car into the dealer because i was smelling exhaust. They replaced the portion of the catalytic converter but after driving it 3 days i noticed my mpg dropped. I went from averaging 28 mpgs to now 21 mpg. They did also replace cam seals and sprark plugs. Anyone know what might be going on?
  13. The subaru dealer called me and told me they are going to goodwill and replace it at no cost (super happy about this). I am in Idaho, it is still the 8) years or 80,000 miles for it. They also stated my coolant was low and asked me if i noticed a leak i told them no but i have had to keep adding coolant, they are going to do a compression test. It's getting scary and scary by the day.
  14. I called the dealer to get more info and he did say that the crack was on the flexible part. Said it's not covered under warranty but said he was going to talk to Subaru, hopefully they can goodwill it. I am just worried that this will happen again in the future. they indicated there were oil leaks under the protector intake manifold shield, why would there be oil there?
  15. Of all cars have owned(10) i've never had to replace a catalytic converter. Some of my cars had over 250k. Seems as people are having issues with cracks on the catalytic converter.
