Just finished up another coat of RainEx on the windshield and cleaned the inside of the windshield as best as I could.
As an aside, has anyone put the Morimoto XB fogs on their 4th gen? I searched here, but it looks like it's only been 5th and 6th gen owners that have done it.

Automotive clickbait King Scotty Kilmer had a video about AGM batteries, and it seems that Optima cheaped out and moved their factory to Mexico and that's when their batteries turned to crap.

Did the oil change, installed new low beam bulbs (drivers side went out yesterday), spiffed up the yellow caps in the engine bay, and put an ounce or two in to the power steering.

I guess it was yesterday, but I took it down to PIA to get the KTA124 installed.
Ran it next door to BTC to get a 3 year alignment.
Total cost involved was about $500 less than Regal, in Auburn wanted to do the install, and a 6 month workmanship only alignment. And Regal didn't notice that the OEM lugnuts were the wrong kind for the SSRs, so PIA hooked me up with a set of lugnuts that will seat properly.
Also, after PIA finished up with the KTA, they polished my headlights! They look really nice!

Really sorry to read about that Gex!
I'm glad you're ok though!

If you don't shift with the market place you won't be in the market place.

I can post now!
I did finally get in contact with PIA, and supplying my own KTA124, and having the shop next to them do the alignment will save me a few hundred over paying full price for the KTA124, and I'll be getting a 3 year alignment instead of a 6 month (workmanship only) alignment.

Took it in for the alingment yesterday and even with the fancy bolts, they can't get the rears into spec and want to line me up with the Whiteline KTA124 and then charge me for another alignment.
I can't get PIA to answer to phone to see how much it would be for them to do the work, and then I could get a 3 year alignment, next door at BTC, for less than Regal wants to charge me for the second alignment.

The last tire came in, so I took it to the shop to get new tires put on the SSRs.
The tires look really meaty and appear to fill the wheel well better than the previous tires, even though they're nearly the same diameter.

Supergramps is back on Mighty Car Mods
Love watching the 4th gen wagon.
He needs a Madrig scoop...

As much as I would love to add this one to the fleet, I'll just have to share it with the others here...

Well, I took one of the spats out to check it out, and it's definitely more BSM than QSM.
Maybe I'll just get the car painted to match...

Spats arrived yesterday. Air Mail from Moscow is not that fast!
I unpacked them, and cleaned them up this afternoon. The JDM silver seems to be fairly close to the QSM so they might not stick out like sore thumbs. They have some scuffs but I think it will be ok and I'll have them painted when I get the hood done.
Otherwise, topped off the power steering and the oil.

BSM is a lot lighter of a shade
Thank you sir!

Curious if it fits around larger TMICs and maybe a IAG AOS...

How different is BSM from QSM?

Did the oil change last night. I added oil a week a half ago to top it off, but draining the oil from the catch basin to a gallon jug only filled the jug half way...
I always used Wix filters for every other car I had but I had a problem where Wix filters would unscrew themselves on the Subaru. I currently have an Amzoil filter on the car now and this seems to hold tight with no problems. It got to the point where I would have to get under the car and hand-tighten the Wix filter on a monthly basis. The oil in a Subaru seems to have the same mindset as a 10 mm socket - it keeps trying to escape.I've been alternating between the PureOne and the Wix. I picked the a PureOne while I was running my Friday errands since there were no Wix to be had in the county. I think I had the Wix filter that tightened up! I had to get some channel locks to twist it off.
Is anyone still running the "Big Kahuna" filter on their Legacy anymore? If memory serves me right that was an RX8 filter, this was larger but had the same specs from a bypass valve, and micron filtering specification. I think you gained a little bit of oil capacity, nothing extreme, maybe 1/2 a quart at best...
On the plus side more surface area of the filter would give you more life when strictly talking about removing debris from the oil.
This bit of knowledge may have been lost in the void.
There is a whole thread about it so I doubt it would be lost to the void.

anyone have any great solutions for direct oil lines to the turbo?
IAG has a braided oil line set.

Slapped the new tab on the rear plate.
I was gonna do the oil change this evening, but O'Reallys was out of the Wix filters for the car!
Maybe also overworked the clutch a tiny bit...

Since we're talking about the sticky dash issue -
I the last few days, the area of the dash that's above the glove box (where I guess the airbag is) has become shiny, but it's not sticky and doesn't feel any different from any other part of the not sticky dash.
Is this something different from the sticky dash that we are familiar with, or is this a variation of the sticky dash?

Paid it off!
Also did a bit of vacuuming since I was cleaning up the Civic to get rid of it.
