I emailed them and let them know about this tread. Hopefully, they'll come aboard and let us know about stuff!

Thanks for starting this thread LatentWagon!
Brakes are one of the big ticket items for my first year, so this might be a tremendous improvement!
Just going to have to remove that Crapillac logo...

That's lame!
I've read too many bad reviews on SS to consider going there, but I've always heard good things about AWD.
I'd suggest saving up a bit of work, if you're going to drive down to PIA, to make it worth your time. There isn't much to do down there while you wait, other than go to the library a small block away.

I'm not sure. I did spend a few minutes while bored out of my mind at work looking at stuff for the Fire 6 HD. Plenty of stuff came up at XDA, but I didn't look too far into the sections. I wonder if it might be too small?
I didn't even know about the Samsung Tab A (Germany for now) until I came home and was going through posts at Liliputing. It just came out a couple of weeks ago. I presume it has the same hackability as any other Samsung device. Not being a Samsung user, I can't say what that is.
Something else I saw at Liliputing, was a new dev board. They post them up every now and again, and they are basically Android motherboards so generic Android should run. The comments about the particular board I was looking at were strongly negative, so I didn't post a link. However, combine a dev board with a display that does fit (Xenarc?) and I would imagine you'd be good to go!
Another thing I thought of, was that rather than hacking up an existing Nav bezel thingie, why not make a mold of it and then work from the mock up? Or maybe some enterprising soul could make a mold of the JDM/AVO part, then adjust it's asymmetrical RHD layout to be more LHD friendly?

Amazon has their Fire 6 HD. What are the dimensions of the opening for the USDM part?
Also, the new Samsung Tab A might be just able to fit with minor modification of the vents.

Oh dear! That's a bit more than I thought...

That's what I'm thinking of doing, rather than trying to track down the JDM part. What all do you need to cut, and how much smaller is the opening compared to the JDM opening?
SC
It is indeed discontinued. So I bought instead an OEM USDM nav bezel, which will certainly require some chopping and stuff (and a bit of screen real estate loss).---> 66060AG07A

That was the user, so I guess it was eliminated.

According to vBulletin, there was another post. Sometimes vB hides a post until another post is made. I think maybe the poster deleted the post but it still showed a post in the list of subscribed posts...

Trying to get that other post to show, but maybe it was deleted...

Just trying to get better economy from my Subaru, I try to keep the tires inflated to the heavy load inflation level.
It would be better though if I just didn't press down so far on the pedal on the right.

Thanks!
My Lincoln MoneyPit had 225s and it was a constant battle to keep them properly inflated to keep the treadwear even. But with my 89 Mustang, it was a battle to not blow the tires off. I miss that car.

I'm curious about one non-engine factor. With running that high of a tire pressure, how is your tread wear?

did they change turbos from 2005-2007 model to 2009-2009 from a vf 40 to a vf46?I just blew and replaced my turbo on my 08 LGT Limited (5EAT). Went OEM (for now) on the replacement but I couldn't figure out which one it was either. The info I found in the forums led me to believe that for MY08 and MY09, Subaru started using the "5 arch designed" VF46. I ended up calling SOA with my VIN to confirm and sure enough, it was an IHI VF46 installed from the factory. OEM replacement bolted up nicely, with the only struggles being the stuck nuts (etc) on the exhaust and getting the new turbo down on the oil return and plugged into the main air intake hose simultaneously. 1st attempt left about 3 qts of Rotella on my garage floor on initial startup so check that oil drain (back into the bottom of the block) hose clamp twice, or have about 20 gallons of sawdust on standby for cleanup.
If you are replacing your turbo, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL THE BANJO BOLT FILTERS from your oil feed lines while the turbo is out!!! It seems like all of the filters were removed from my car EXCEPT the one on the back of the block, which is a PITA to get to and remove. You pretty much have to remove the TMIC, Turbo (and all oil/coolant lines), Up Pipe, and Exhaust just to get to the little $5 sucker and yank it out. BUT that filter was the one that clogged, failed, crumpled, and starved my old turbo for oil, resulting in a blown turbo and a week of no Tu-Tu-ing around town while parts came in. Oh and the $$$, time and effort in replacing it, while depleting my upgrade/mod budget for a while.
I've been trying to look this up, to not look like a Googleless tool, but...
I thought that the LGTs used the VF48 and the STi used the VF52.
Or was it LGT 05-07 for the VF48, and 08-09 for the VF46?

For the wealth of information, it's well worth the simple one-time donation!

Another vote for PIA in Tacoma/Parkland.
They are just about constantly booked a month out, so you have to plan in advance.

Well, that was unexpected...

2006 #112 is now in Seattle. I was planning to go down to the bay area and give the once over twice, but I saw the notice in the RCS facebook feed that it had been purchased and was now in Seattle.
Cadillac ATS Brembo Caliper Upgrade for your Subaru

I don't like the stock wheels and I need to get my brakes done some time this year. Therefore I have an interest in this.
So I can either do basic brakes and upgrade them later, or upgrade to Brembos at a savings.
