  1. Spec B is an upgrade over the regular and GT brakes, the calipers are better but allow the use of larger rotors (and the rears let you use vented instead of solid rear disc). I'd also invest in a Grimmspeed master cyl brace, I was skeptical but it really makes a huge difference.

All Spec B’s have the same brakes as the LGT, which like mentioned earlier is the largest caliper Subaru makes short of the STI Brembos.

  2. Thanks for the info. Very useful. Do you remember where you bought the halos from? Found a few sources but would prefer buying from a proven company.

DiodeDynamics and ProfilePrism are your two best options. DD has the best customer reviews and will last longer with a longer warranty but does not have Bluetooth or switchback functionality with the RGB halos. They have a unit that is RGB only and one that is switchback only while the ProfilePrisms can do both.

  3. I'm a bit late to the party but I just bought a 2005 Outback XT. I was surprised by how challenging it would be to put a bluetooth system in the car so I achieved it in a sort of round about method. I installed a bluetooth amp and a set of relays to switch the speakers over from radio to bluetooth. I recorded my process in case anyone else wants to give it a go.

I commend you for the hard work you put into this system and the video tutorial, but there is a much simpler way to do this. The JazzyAux mod + RCA->aux cable + an aux to Bluetooth unit powered through the cigarette lighter will work just fine and also gives you controls for the Bluetooth.

Yes, my method is more expensive (~$85) but less than the JDM conversion and much less work than what others have done.

  4. The issue with it being lean most likely due to the cold air intake. It might also be VF52 swapped so if you can check for that too those two would be the culprit. Either way I would invest in a pro tune as soon as possible and stay out of boost especially. The OTS tunes are only safe with the stock air box and turbo. They actually are slightly rich to be safer I believe.

Also 20+ on the AFR with throttle or off? Around that range is safe for no throttle just cruising. WOT should be as close to the lowest the stock sensor will read which is 11

  5. I’m on Koni’s with H&R lowering springs but a full sway bar, end link, strut bar, etc set up. I love the ride for daily driving and road trips and the wheel gap is about a finger and a half. Highly recommend going this route if you don’t need adjustments, don’t ever need to slam the car for shows, or don’t need to go on the track.

I also wouldn’t recommend cheap coilovers, if you have the budget for nice coilovers and sway bars go ahead though. With the amount spent on nice coilovers you can also have the setup I have with the sway bars and etc. I believe H&Rs are good for stock struts as well.

  6. I got a 06 sedan red emblems should I do red rally flaps or just oem??? Haven't seen many rally flaps on legacy around where I'm at. I want it lowered. What would be a good height?? Without camber. Any help would be nice new Subaru owner

I went with just black Rokblokz mudflaps with the white logo, for you I'd go black with red. To me, red mud flaps are just too much on a Legacy. They look better on the WRX/STi in my opinion. For lowering thats all up to you and how much you wanna pay, handling goals, etc. There's a lot of threads out here to help you with that.
