  1. 10000% this. I just want to make sure I'm getting the most tire for the money. I ran Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics A/S on my R53 Mini for a while, they were fine. Can't remember how long they lasted. Looks like the Goodyears and BFGs are on sale now. Any thoughts on XL vs standard load? Does it matter for our cars?
  2. That’s not surprising. Continental makes great tires. Plus, and I do have PureContact LS’s in OE size on the Outback now. They were worth the money. Was really hoping to not spend more on tires than I did on wheels, but here we are. Time to find out if my company offers any affiliate discounts.
  3. Wheels came in last night. They sent the wrong size hub rings though. Correct ones are supposed to be rushed shipped to me by Fri. Now I really need some tires! Looking at Falken Ziex ZE950s. Anyone running these? Tire recommendations appreciated.
  4. This is exactly the picture I was looking for, and in the same color too! TWINSIES! Hoping that an 18x8 +45 with 245/40R18 will fit without too much work. What kind of lip are you running?
  5. Correction. I got the Bilstein setup from Pik1111. I think Xtea had a similar setup on the forum around the same time that I had looked at. Found this pic from the archived 'For Sale' thread. (duh, I should have looked here first. Forgot I had asked Pik1111 the same question.)
  6. Redbourne, I saw those in your build thread. They looked good and were one of the reasons I looked at the GT7s (plus I got them on discount and used an EBay coupon.) I like that the GT7 has a subtle lip, and in that size will clear STI Brembos, jic I ever go that route. Rhitter, thanks for that. I might end up with 245/40s after all. There’s a bunch of WRX owners selling their OE Dunlop SportMaxxes for cheap around me. I’ve got a set of Bilstein HDs with Swift springs that I got from xtea a few months back. Still haven’t put them on, mostly because I was worried about the stock size OBXT tires rubbing. Any idea how much of a drop that setup will give me over stock OBXT height? Not looking to be ‘hellaflush’ or whatever the kids say these days. Still have to drive around DC in it.
  7. Found a crack in my drivers side tail lamp. Ordered a set of JDM lamps, which ended being cheaper than one USDM OEM lamp. Also, finally pulled the trigger on some wheels. Enkei GT7 18x8 +45 in silver. Any recs for the best tire size to run on these? 225/45, 235/40, or 245/40?
  8. After a long drive today I smelled the tiniest hint of burnt coolant under the hood, but not in the exhaust (thank god.) Which led me to peek around under there. Coolant levels are good, so it must be a very slow seep. I haven't actually seen any active leaking or puddles yet. I'll look into a new hose. I think this is the right one 14447AA150...?
  9. LGT.com Hivemind. Is $375.00 a fair price for a SpecB rear suspension minus hubs, brakes, Bilsteins and springs? Basically both trailing arms, all four toe arms, both upper arms, and the lateral braces?
  10. The OB is still running rough at stop lights. Decided to drive to work today with the AP connected to monitor AF learning and correction. Pretty sure it’s a vacuum leak. /s Yay for hunting for vacuum leaks in my driveway in freezing weather... ::
  11. Drove the OBXT yesterday instead of the usual DD. Ran great until I filled it up, then had a rough idle for about ten minutes. Drove it home, parked it, started it again today. Idle is normal... Hoping this isn't the prelude to something big.
  12. Been looking to do the same thing on my OBXT. Any tips on getting the headliner out?
  13. After a run of bad off brand O2 sensors, I only trust an OEM, direct from my local Subaru Parts counter. That EBay code was right on time. I finally ordered the rest of the Whiteline parts to get ready for my Spec B suspension swap. Did you decide to go with the 1050x so you can eventually run e85? Looking forward to seeing more progress on this build. (You’re one my build inspirations.)
  14. 2008 OBXT Ltd 5EAT (Her's) still trying to replace my 2005 LGT 5EAT Wagon (His)
  15. Been following you on insta for a while, this thread answers so many questions I had about your build! Great OBXT! Some good inspiration in there for mine.
  16. Following. Somewhere between this and Oldskoolbiker's build is my ideal OBXT. (now to convince the wife that her Outback "needs some work.")
  17. All these cars make me miss my RBP wagon! Wahhhhh!
  18. Super clean! Those wheels always look on LGTs
