  1. I've good luck with Canadians in general. Full JDM Spec B Suspension, JDM Facelift Spec B front end (w/lip!), Wangan axle backs etc. They pallet shipped the front end so I had to pick it up from the local shipping depot, other than that everything's been good. I also ended up up buying the front end directly from them, so eBay wouldn't take a cut of the sale, and they gave me some decent discounts on odds & ends. But yes, a bad idea for your bank account.
  2. Ha! I ALSO asked him the same thing... AW4BYT, possible group buy? I'll put my money in the pot.
  3. Interested in a leveling harness, especially if it goes from lamp to switch
  4. Impressions of the trans before and after the kit? Been looking at this mod for some time, would love to hear your thoughts.
  5. JDM Headlamp to car 90980-11034 -> merged w/90980-11015 to connect to USDM harness on car Hopefully these photos make sense. The pin numbers on the connectors don't match up exactly with the Subaru pin numbers, so I've labeled them as best I can. Make two of these harnesses (connections are identical for each lamp, no need to move any wires around.) I kept the DRL wires separate and attached a generic two-pin connector to them. Eventually I'll wire a relay to ACC+ to turn them on with the car. So bing, bang, boom, and Bob's your uncle. Now you have a plug and play harness to connect your JDM face-lift lamps to your UDSM car.
  6. I can pull the harness out to take some pics and notes tomorrow. I found the connectors from Ballenger Motorsports, they were Toyota part numbers.
  7. Too hot today to get the JDM lamps on the car. Instead, decided I’d disassemble, clean, and scuff for paint a set of Hella Supertones that were given to me. They were in rough shape: super dirty and covered in thick road grime, bracket rusted and finish peeling, and wiring beyond saving. Now I need to decide what color to paint them. Not a fan of red, though they are going on a red car. Considering using the same paint I used for my Brembos. (And I know, these can be ricey. But they were free.)
  8. Finished the conversion harnesses for my facelift JDM headlamps. Opened them up and flipped the shields. Buffed and polished the lenses. Now just need to get them on the car.
  9. Ugh. Glad I saw this. Was just about to order a couple from Advance Auto. Off to eBay for OEM I go!
  10. Got the parts from Global JDM Auto Parts . They're pallet shipping to DCA for me. No forklift, or residential charges. Now I just have to wait...
  11. Made a questionable financial decision late last night. The facelift JDM bumper from my sedan is toast, hit by a garbage truck. So, I ordered a JDM SpecB bumper, grille, and lip. And found a set of Wangan axle backs. (Should also mention that the sedan is dead too. Second trans blew. Currently cannibalizing it for parts for my wagon.)
  12. VHT Metallic Gold caliper paint. I also used their primer and clear coat. Came out pretty well for my first time. Brembo logo was from eBay.
  13. Finally got around to swapping the suspension. Spec B front arms, Whiteline antilift kit & bump steer kit, Bilstiens w/Swifts. Also finished painting my Brembos and FINALLY put them on. Just need to convince the wife to help me bleed them and it’ll roll on it’s own again! Disregard the missing sway bar. It’s going back on tonight.
  14. Don't forget that any 2005-2009 scoop will work. Try Car-part.com. Though most yards aren't too keen on separating a scoop from a good hood.
  15. This is probably the best idea IMO. Hell, find a wagon and swap over the full drive-train, suspension, and interior! If you do decide to try and fix it though, that SRS harness (the one wrapped in yellow) should be replaced. Don't try and fix it. Go to a local pick-a-part and try to pull the entire harness yourself, from connector to connector. You'll also need that front sensor on the rail. Either way, good luck!
  16. Insurance appraiser here. I wrote up a quick estimate based on what I can see in those photos and the additional operations needed to complete those repairs. Using only new OEM parts, you're probably looking at at least $12k. (And that $12k number is conservative.) Your insurance company will probably write an estimate with LKQ (used/recycled) or aftermarket parts. Depending on your policy. That may help keep it economical to repair. Better pictures of the front 3/4 of the car, and pics of the upper rail/apron from above with hood open would help to get a better idea of the extent of rail damage. Honestly though, I'd assume it's a total loss.
  17. Does this need to be trimmed to fit a VF52 wastegate?
  18. I had to push the old parts off to the side of the driveway so my wife wouldn't trip on them. I promise that the actual work area was vegetation free.
  19. Quarantine project #1 is done! Ported and billet wheel VF52, new belts and tensioner, AVO inlet, Perrin throttle coupler, Grimmspeed EBCS, IP&T oil feed w/filter, Kinugawa braided coolant lines, a handful of new vacuum hoses, a bunch of new clamps and zip ties. Not shown: new OEM intercooler, tgv to intake gaskets, STI oil cooler
