  1. I got mine from here, just needed to message them the paint code. http:// https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F121708688132
  2. Put the RPF1s on and put the eBay back glass spoiler on. Looks better than expected. Makes me want to ditch the trunk spoiler for a little lip too. Tried to adjust the BCs but the upper perch kept moving. Anybody have some advice on how to raise these up some? (I want a little more clearance. The suspension hasn't settled in this pic, the tires are almost tucked when it does.)
  3. Picked up a set of gold 17x8 RPF1s from a local guy. Tires are meh, but the price was too good to pass up. Now to see if I can get Brembos on Eleanor-Christine (I need a better nickname, it’s getting tedious to type her full name every time.)
  4. But I was told it will net me +50 hp, and +75 tq! And make all the women want me, and the men want to be me! And make my hair glorious and full like The Jonas Brothers! And lower the interest rate on my mortgage! And save me 15% or more!?!?
  5. This was strictly to match the gold anodized TGV deletes, fuel rails, and reservoir caps the previous owner put on the car. (And I was bored and that roll of tape has been in my parts bin for a while.) Now that’s it’s done. I’m finding that I like it a lot more than I expected. [emoji2] But that Grimmspeed logo might cost me a couple HP...
  6. Welp. Since I didn’t get the intercooler back on, I did this instead!
  7. That’s what I’ve been led to believe too. Turbine Sensor 2 is inside the VB, but you can get Turbine Sensor 1 by itself. It’s mounted just behind the starter. I’m hoping this does it, otherwise I’ll need a valve body... Just trying to exhaust all avenues before dropping $500ish on a valve body. (Hoping it stops raining soon so I can get the TMIC back on and test drive it. Will post an update when done.) *crosses fingers*
  8. Yes, 5EAT. Hard shifting, no fifth gear, throws a P0715 every time I clear memory 2.
  9. Finally changed out Turbine Sensor 1. Also swapped the KartBoy pitch stop for a STI pitch-stop. Didn’t get to test drive to see if the P0715 has cleared, it started raining before I could get the intercooler back on. Will have some parts for the classifieds soon...
  10. Changed the accelerator position sensor on Eleanor-Christine, which means the whole gas pedal assembly, since you can't get the sensor separate. Cleared memory 2. Now just need to wait till after the kid goes to bed to test drive it and perform the relearn procedure. *crosses fingers hoping this works* If this doesn't do it, then at least I can be sure that it needs a valve body. FSM diag procedures have been VERY helpful. (anyone have a Hexmod or IPT valve body for an '05 they want to get rid of?)
  11. No fridge. But we have a three day cooler that I’ve become an expert at packing. Plus the cabin we’re renting has a kitchen (and a grille [emoji2]!)
  12. Packed up the OBXT for a weekend in Shenandoah with the family. It’s amazing how much food we’re bringing. Expecting to have a much lighter car on the trip home.
  13. Changed the oil. Wildly misjudged the drain pan and spilled a fair amount of oil on the driveway. Wife is not pleased.
  14. Changed the battery and terminal ends, ran some new grounds, and cleaned the dash on Eleanor/Christine. Still chasing down a P2109. Anyone have any tips for that one? Should I just order a new accelerator pedal assembly?
  15. Any thoughts on how it would fit with a Grimmspeed top mount? Eleanor/Christine’s splitter is all kinds of messed up.
  16. It's an 08. And no, haven't checked the one behind the timing cover (crap, forgot about that one :spin: ) Anyone know if that can be done without doing the timing belt too?
  17. Checked all but the one under the turbo. So far, no filters in the bolts. Will try to get to the turbo one when I've got some more time later today. Logs show the OVCs performing normally now. Fingers crossed that was it...
  18. Replaced both OCVs today. Got a P0011 on the way home and logs showed the right side OCV was consistently 10+ off of the left side. Will do some more logging tomorrow to confirm that there isn’t anything else going on.
  19. Speaking of brakes, I did a quickie front brake job today. Just Duralast rotors and pads. Brakes started squealing like an angry pig on the drive back up from Chapel Hill on Sunday. I’ve got a Brembo swap that should be going on once I’ve got rest of the bushings changed out front.
  20. Finally installed the Whiteline RSB. What a difference. I wish I had done this sooner. Took nearly four hours since I had to cut the old end links off the trailing arm. I can only imagine how easy this must be for you sunny SoCal guys who can unbolt their mufflers any old time.
  21. I gave it good twist. Got about 1/10th of a turn, then wiped it clean. I have a good bit of driving to do today, so I’ll check again when I get home.
  22. Added a half quart of oil. Noticed some oil on the bottom of the filter, but none on the ground. Is it possible to have a leak that only happens when warm? Driveway is perfectly clean. Also finally got around to changing the #1 and #3 plugs. Was getting lots of misfires from 1, and occasionally from 3. Runs much better. Will do other side tomorrow. Plugs look like they’ve never been changed.
  23. Thanks for all the tire recommendations, everyone. Going to mull this over for the weekend and decide on Monday. It’s down to two choices now: NTB has the BFG Comp 2 a/s on sale right now with the best out the door price, including one year of unlimited alignments. (And I have a box of Whiteline bushings waiting to go in.) But, Costco is only slightly more for the Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 3+s. Though without an alignment or road hazard.
