  1. Just got my car back from dealer due to my key stuck in the ignition, they replaced shifter assembly part#35111AL00C

Also had oil changed done, and service rep asked if I wanted to get the 30k maintenance for $500 but I declined and was told could affect my warranty I’m the future and that I should get it done at a least before car reaches 40k miles.

  2. I had the saggy arse with mine, then I lowered it with H&R springs, now it sits level on all 4 corners and I haven’t had any rubbing issues with my rallyarmour mudflaps23a14de6ac6be82d96f1622dcfea8b81.jpg

Hmmm that’s weird I’m also sitting on H&R springs but on rear my tires are almost under the fenders(stock 17’s/tires) but on yours looks like you have a gap between tires and fender.

  3. Well just got the car back since dropping it off at dealer 3/29/19

So they replaced the steering spring(rattling noise is gone)

They installed a new head unit since the old one does not wanna accept the new update.

They also updated the combination meter recall,BUT!!!!! I cannot make meter lights either dim or bright, the head unit does dims when I turn the park/headlights on but cannot dim nor make the meter lights go bright:/

And they also forgot to put in the Map SD card in the head unit..

So now I gotta bring the car back tom early in the morning...SMH

UPDATE: got the meter lights to dim/bright,all of sudden it worked, must have been some glitch or something after the update.

  4. Dropped off car this morning at dealer for the recall and head unit update, and rattle noise on driver side.

Got a call from dealer recall is done but the head unit needs to be replaced because it would not take the new firmware update.

As for the rattle noise car has to stay overnight so they can try it in the morning to see if the rattle is there.

Gave me a 2019 forester for a loaner.

  5. Installed the 1" Subtle Solutions spacers today. A piece of cake and not as hard as the FSM made it seem (minimal interior panel removal).

The 1" spacers give the car a very subtle rake, which I like - preferred to the saggy butt. I was shooting for equalizing the front and rear wheel arches and I got a little bit more than that. Remember, the spacer height on the strut does not equal the lift at the wheel 1:1 because of suspension articulation. I got a little more than I was shooting for. I'd recommend a 3/4" spacer if you are shooting for equalizing the wheel arches (which technically would give you a rake but probably unnoticeable). Subtle Solutions was out of stock on those at the time I ordered.

I'd also recommend the aluminum spacers. They were a breeze to install. Everything bolted tight, no washers, no sloppiness. Easy as 1-2-3.

The lower control arm removal and replacement was a breeze. This is really a very easy job and - first time - took me all of a couple hours from first tool out to last tool away.

Recommended: Subtle Solutions 1" aluminum spacers to fix the saggy butt.

Off to get the wheel alignment tomorrow, just because.

Just curious why do u recommend aluminum over HDPE?

  6. I bought the 2018 Legacy fog kit. The lights themselves are LEDs similar to the factory fogs on the '18 and '19 Legacy. Everything fits nicely onto the '19 model except for one major issue: there is NO connector for the switch under the dash. Not plugged into a switch blank, not taped up to a harness somewhere, nothing. I spent hours looking for it.

Being a communications tech, I used a "fox & hound" cable tracer to find the trigger wire for the relay in the engine compartment fuse / relay panel. It plugs into a connector on the back of the under dash fuse box and needs a ground to pull the relay in. If I ground it, the fogs stay on continuously with other lights, ignition, everything else off. The fog light indicator on the dash does not light.

Looks like I'm going to have to get a wiring diagram and make up a custom harness as I'd rather not start cutting wires on a brand new car!

Has anyone else run into this?

Fog light switch is on the stalk

  7. Hi all, I've done some searching here but haven't found anything about my specific question. I would like to add fog lights to my 2019 Legacy Premium. There is a kit from Subaru that fits the 2018 model and it's available from most of the usual online vendors.

However, I have emailed and called several vendors and local dealers and none of them can tell me if this kit will fit the '19 model or if there's a different kit for it. One thing that concerns me is that I popped off the cover of the engine compartment fuse/relay panel and found that the relay and fuses for the fogs are already in place. I kind of wonder if they have re-purposed that spot for something else?

I did find here that it's cheaper to buy the parts piecemeal than as a kit, but I guess the major question here is whether the bezels/covers/inserts from the '18 Legacy will fit the '19. I can pretty much wing it with everything else.

    TIA

2018-19 are pretty much the same, also you check behind bumper of the fog light connector is already there.
