I'm driving mine again S2, and things will work out and you will as well.
-
That's awesome! It's incredible to see everything lined up and ready to go. Almost stock looking.
-
Do we have an explicit example of a stock car, including BPV, overboosting on a Nameless downpipe?
Didn't Nameless just say it overshot target boost on stock bpv with the original design and with the nameless bpv?
Reading comprehension fail on my part. Only evidence of overboosting with nameless bpv and the exhaust

Sweet Christmas that looks horrible.
Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
It could be worse. He got away before it could rust even faster.
You should see mine.

Bummer. I really wanted to get a set, but engine trouble is the only focus right now. I probably won't have funds for another month and it looks like everything is dry.

Flywheel and pressure plate bolts sold and shipped!
Bolts delivered thanks. Still at work, but hopefully get to use them in the next 2 weeks.

I know too much metal shaving off is not good, but I would expect to see some unless it's been a relatively short time since the last transmission fill. Sorry if you mentioned it recently but how long since your last drain and fill?

Wouldn't the maf still accurately measure the amount of air going on since the resonator is pre filter and maf? The ecu shouldn't be leaning out the mixture, and you aren't letting in extra air like from a leak.

Thanks that's perfect. I'm going to pull the intake manifold with tgv attached so this makes it easier.
-
I've been using the little bit of daylight between work and sundown to start tare down. I have never done this so the walk through helps even though I've been on the same path for the most part. Need to double check I'm pulling the ac compressor correctly.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered some things and easily saved over $75 with the free shipping and the extra off the usual sale prices.

OK then why is no one doing those same fixes like porting the wastegate to combat the already known issue with these cars overboosting?

Your description said no boost creep.
The boost creep others had were with catless units. Your produt isn't catless.
Porting the turbo exhaust housing is in no way insinuated as necessary. A tune is expected.

If any 2010's get their sticker in the mail, please let me know. Would've been nice if they overnighted the decal to me.
Just got a letter and sticker from SOA today. It includes instructions on how to install the sticker

BBPeik, it looks like you are running pretty lean. Turbo car under WOT should be about 12-13 A/F ratio. Seems like your closer to 18-20 under WOT. Be careful.
If I'm reading it right, that's a boost graph on the bottom not an a/f ratio

Spotted a white 5th gen Legacy GT at the New Bedford/Fairhaven town line. We both waved, but I don't think he's in here.

I've tried that using the volume knob, but alas......no success!
I believe you need to use the volume button on the steering wheel to control the hands free volume.
I set it up when I first got the car so my memory is a little foggy. I'm pretty sure it's the steering wheel mounted controls that work
-
Iirc you can adjust volume while it's ringing. The ring tone I have no idea about how or if it's changeable.

Really good deals.
-
UGHH these are getting cheap!!
Seriously! Really nice shape as well.

Saw 2 fifth get GTs about a mile apart both heading west on 117 in bolton. One black one silver, both looked stock.
Never seen that many in a day anywhere but WBM
Mine is black and stock, but I definitely don't travel around there.

Exchanged waves with a fellow 5th gen lgt owner in new bedford mass today, looked good!
That would be me! I figured it was you because of the wheels. I was on my way home from work.
Yours looks pretty sharp with those wheels. I need to get on track for some wheels

Ill just leave my car here.
Formal for sale thread coming soon in classifieds.
How are you across the bridge from me, but I've never seen you and your car? Crazy!
Good luck with the sale btw.

Speaking of exhaust for the 3.6R, anybody feeling brave enough to give this item (http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/custom-ark-exhaust-lgt-houston-tx-253820.html) from the classifieds a try to see how it sounds? A bit pricey, but it seems like it should fit for us since it fits the GT.
That won't be a direct bolt up so you have a very small chance of anyone trying it.

From what I have understood the stock charge pipe is fine up to 400HP and even a bit more.
Quote from fahr_side "I have stage 3 5th gens at 335whp on the stock intake, and it's no where near maxxed out. The only intake I've tuned that gave a good smooth MAF curve was the Blitz item, and that's just a MAF housing & cone filter that sits in it's cool carbon scoop thing. Added not one extra hp over the stock intake though, even after carefully retuning for it."
I may still hit you up on the test fit though.
Charge pipe and intake are two different animals though.
From what I've read the charge pipe can have structural issues at higher than stock boost pressures.
Same idea as Rutchard lol

Would modifying the hangers on the pipe give you enough clearance possibly? Maybe stiffer polyurethane hanger insulators?
Just throwing out possibilities.
