You are right to be scared. I waited until I had the motor out to address replacing all those hoses... and it was still a pain in the ass. If you are like me and have a tired back you will hate pulling the intake manifold with it in the car.

Got it apart last night, plunger looked just fine. Passenger side was clean, driver side had sediment packed into corners. Glad I cleaned that one up.

Hi guys, so taking my intake sprocket off(belt method, vicegrip'd nice and tight) I noticed the center of the sprocket rotated when I put my impact to it. Is that a bad sign? Could I have sheared that plunger? I haven't gotten it apart to look yet, the 5 point gets here in a day or so from amazon.

Just got an XT, drivers headlight seems odd. Passenger headlight has the distinct ..../'''' low and high arc but the drivers doesn't. Should it?

Yeah around here manual wagon come and go in the marketplace too, I missed a 2005 white wagon with under 100k but he wanted 2k more than my budget cause he knew it was "rare" ugh. But I actually saw one on CL this morning black manual wagon spun rod, going to make offer today. Wish me luck!

Update on any of 5eat to manual issues? Mostly the cruise and dash errors? I've been driving a 4eat to 5mt 93 turbo legacy for too long and the rust is killing me. It's time for a new turbo wagon, but finding a auto 4th gen gt is far easier than a 5mt.
