  1. Thanks and yes. Appreciate the comment and answer. She’s aging and doesn’t get quite the same attention/love since becoming a dad two years ago. But watching the latest MCM vid where they compare SuperGramps to their custom levorg sti hatch made me really glad I’ve got what I’ve got. Even w/out a built engine and rolling stage .5 on an ots Cobb tune.
  2. Excellent guess. Right around there, tucked behind Canyon. Pretty sure there’s a regular Friday nite meet-up further down the road. Seen but haven’t stopped off.
  3. Lurking in the wild, err back of Target. Posted by a stockish 05 LGT sedan.
  4. Thread needed a bump. Gave my girl a spa day: bubble bath, long stretch, and some fresh forest air. This road is one of my favorite local drives.
  5. While you’re at it, sway bars are great bang for buck to tighten up the whale tail in the rear at the very least. Prior owners may have replaced, if so endlinks and bushings can update/upgrade handling considerably. And it sounds like you’re of the “do it once do it right” mindset, Avo rear sway bay mount reinforcements are worth it. Since yer wallet’s open and all. I waited a while on sways and regret time spent sliding thru turns. And +1 for whiteline bushings all round, their custy service is top notch.
  6. The For Sale thread will probably get you more looks on these. And posting your location on profile will help members determine their shipping viability. Also, you might find a new home for a rolling shell if you post your wagon up here. Someone is always cruising for a pocket bruising. Glws.
  7. Congrats on the score. From one AT owner to another, these cars are still tons of fun w/out a stick. To quote a recent car F/S thread, the 5eat is nearly bulletproof. Enjoy your new ride!
  8. ^Yes. It’s very hard to install something Boxkita once referred to as ‘wall art’. Rolling car was priority over purdy car this summer. Maybe next.
  9. Maybe not today, but in the last week: replaced passenger side mirror, lubed w Motul 5w30, and alignment after a mean blowout necessitated four new tires. AAA ftw, flatbed picked me up on the left shoulder. Rim, tho battered, holds air so no excuse to put on my pristine, unmounted gold Rays for the summer. Got a wash and a wax and picked up hatch struts. Topped off bug juice. Oh, and upsized rubber from 215/45/18 to 225/40/18 and liking the difference. Much better for compensating road quality. And totally accelerates the want for an sti steering rack. Brand switch from Michelin pilot sport A/s3+ to Continental Extreme Contact 06.
  10. ^My wagon is hovering right at that mileage. When I walk up, all I see is dings n dents. But when I’m at the wash, I get compliments. It is what it is, a 15ish year old Subaru. Wears its scars well. And btw, my engine bay will never come close to your creation. Hats off.
  11. Let’s just say that I’m glad this popped up right after I needed new tires and potentially a set of wheels. Look gorgeous. Giving me size envy too. Glws.
  12. Got my replacement mirror in today from a WTB post. Community ftw. Bearings. Thanks fellas. Added to the growing front end tighten up to-do list. I used to laugh at all the posts from dads saying their Leggy had taken a backseat to other members of the fam. Jokes on me now. I get it. But my boy is nearly two and is just getting into cars. Pretty fun to see.
  13. Found precisely what I was looking for. Thanks, it’s this community that keeps my wagon running. Community, gas, oil and dollarbucks.
  14. Looking again at damage and then diagrams leads me to believe I can get away with re-using my external housing w blinker, motor assy seems fine, would just require glass and the internal housing. Local stealership was as per usual no help.
  15. Gold wheels for the summer sound fantastic. My horde includes those, unwrapped from shipping years ago. Could use some hatch struts, swap in my ss brake lines, and fresh pads. But mostly concerned about safety with the overnight loss of my passenger side mirror. Check the FS threads for my WTB post.
  16. Pre. And mine happens to be limited trim, heated mirror and amber blinker. Shoulda kept the JDM power folding w Grampus smoke signals but sold here to a member when priorities(baby boy) shifted a while back.
  17. Hello gents, parked on the street last night and woke to a smashed mirror. No windows, nothing stolen. Just a passenger mirror with enough of the interior housing broken to require a full replacement. Starting here with you parts hoarders to see if anyone has a spare laying around. Muchas gracias.
  18. Gorgeous. Had no idea that configuration existed in the wild. Congrats on a super score. I’m in NorCal if you need an excuse to stretch her legs/showoff a bit once received.
  19. DGM ftw. Damn fine outcome. Wheels a great candidate for a refresh and leave forever.
  20. Best angle I’ve caught on those front fender flares. GD, one amazing wagon. Thanks for the screen saver material.
  21. I’d consider this a demonstrative thread rather than showoff per se. Very well executed, clean mods imho. Forum can definitely benefit from pics and documentation such as this.
