Glad this got bumped, I've been wondering if SOA is still honoring the dash recall. I got my airbags done, slight rattle increase. But my thing is not having a garage for the last year and a half, I'm noticing more hazing/fogging of the dash material. I have a sun visor but not as religious with it as I used to be. The UV is def making a difference. I'm sure I could finesse it at the right dealer, but what are the qualifications for replacement?

Any update on this beauty?

Took a ride up to Napa today. First a pit stop in Oakland off 580 and Harrison. Stop light line up was an STI from 2009/10, then a dgm Outback totally stock w tints, then my dgm LGT. It occurred to me that my wagon was like the marriage of the two cars in front of me. Got back from grabbing wine, stopped off for a bite in Emeryville. Caught an oncoming LGT, ABP if not mistaken, and threw an acknowledged deuce his way. Clean sedan, from what I could see. Other than bumping into a Unicorn SWP mt wagon at my mechanic's shop in Berkeley a while ago, that was a thrilling day for local Subie sighting. Oh, and I passed a white Lambo on the way to and a black Ferrari on the way home. Meh. My wagon holds more!!

Great thread. Super late to the party, missed this in all my lurking. Op, I have the same set of older gen STI goldies sitting for the last year because I don't even want to unwrap them. They're gorgeous and appear to have never been mounted. However, seeing the pics of them on your identical DGM exterior has proven the color code combo is pure sex. What size were yours and what tires did you like? Keep up the inspiring build!

Clean, my Canadian neighbor. Looks great. I've got dgm wagon goodness(07) with spec b 18's as well, dig your taste. Also just installed JDM Bilsteins and pinks. I've got a set of summer wheels that I wasn't quite ready for this year. What direction are you thinking of going on your next wheels? We didn't get a Legacy wagon for the '08 model year here in the states, mine is from the last year it was offered. So I'm guessing that an LGT wagon with factory facelift is pretty rare in North America. Enjoy.

Met a fellow wagon owner and forum user last week at, of all places, my local Subaru specialist in Berkeley. While I was too distracted with my code diagnostic to get a name or user handle from him, he had a gorgeous SWP 05 mt wagon tastefully modded with stage 2 tune. Good short convo, nice to run into Legacy enthusiasts in the wild- or the waiting line, as our cars would have it.

I picked up a set of Thule bars and racks from rei last month. On sale, turned out to be gently used. But shipped immediately and cost slightly less than new. Legacy wagons (US) use the 440 specialty railing carrier with an SR2 fit kit to adapt to our existing rails. I snapped up a set before they went entirely extinct. Hope that helps.

And here I thought I was the only one OCD enough to replace my cracked steering wheel w OEM. Yes, pricey. But that upgrade alone makes it feel like a new car. It's like switching the toilet seat when you move to a new place- "zero mile" indeed. Great display of Subienthusiasm.

Super late to the party, but just ordered my wagon set yesterday. Thanks for the info, OP. You mentioned finding the parts # for the extending storage armrest, mind sharing that one? Been looking high and low since buying my 07 LGT. One of the only things I miss not having from my 08 outback.

Six months into ownership, haven't posted much at all, but enjoying the hell out of my wagon. Took myself up to the hot springs for a lil much needed r+r last weekend, fit all my essentials in the back. Poorly lit pic, but you get the idea. Tent, sleeping bag, camp chair, pads, gear, and still room for 4x 3 gallon water jugs. My kinda whip. Also makes a mean brewery tour bus;) Anderson Valley, Mendocino Brewing, and Lagunitas have all seen visions of the grey ghost since I picked her up.....
