  1. Congratulations on finally resolving the issue. I must agree with the others though. I am sooo going to miss this thread.
  2. ^^^Interesting theory on the valve spring. You would think you would hear it, but at this point who knows. Could be anything.
  3. When I just did the head studs my heads were 450 to have the valve job done and the valves adjusted. There should not be any extra cost to do new exhaust valves besides the cost of the valves. That was the cost from the machine shop. All the labor on the engine I did myself so I can not comment on what that would cost.
  4. I am pretty much all out of suggestions. Other than a giant dent in your exhaust somewhere I am unfortunately going back to GT's suggestion. Ensure you still have good compression.
  5. Pull the rear driveshaft and take it for a spin. It will be messy, but would diag the problem.
  6. I figured the same thing, but figured it would be worth a check. Possibly a bearing in the trans is bad or something, but this is a very confusing problem.
  7. I am pretty sure that when you disconnect the battery and then reconnect, when you first turn the key to on the throttle opens and closes to learn its limits. Not sure about the tgv though. This could be an easy way to at least check the throttle.
  8. You are right on the high rpm roughness. Interesting. I have no help for you, but it is strange.
  9. I know this may be a stupid question, but have you checked the throttle body hose and or the bpv hose for small tears or leaks. It seems simple, but the throttle body hose having a leak could be a possibility. The car would still read boost, but you lose it all by the time it gets to the engine. Silly, but maybe?
  10. I took a look at the logs and made a top bottom view to make it easier for all of us to see. The top one is the no power one. Anyway, your wdc is near half of what it was at good power. Your idc is off as said above, but also your af learning is way different. They are well within specs, but the difference should be noted. Given the wdc and the af are off, I would agree that your airflow is funky. I am by no means an expert, but hopefully this will help some others chime in. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah113/BBPeik/Untitled_zpstkvwecid.jpg
  11. If you really want to throw a monkey wrench in the works. E85 is about a half a pound per gallon heavier than gas. So it will tend to stay lower in the tank. So the dilution ratio is no longer a constant, what with all the sloshing around and such. I am sure some math genius could figure it out and would have a blast doing such. Either way that two gallons left is going to go away pretty damn quick.
  12. Thanks a bunch. I figured the bushings would be a pain. That is exactly why I asked.
  13. So given that I am running the Bilstein Eibach combo, I obviously have some camber issues in the rear. I see a lot of talk about new rear lca's, but does anyone have any experience with the whilteline rear upper bushing camber kit? I would like lca's, but they are pricey and this seems like a much more affordable option. TIA
  14. Very nice work. You are a true craftsman. I am very anxious to see how it all turns out.
  15. ^^^An old friend of mine had one that was turbo'd. It would get you right back into liking them. That thing was sweet. It is a shame you saw one that was not cared for. Always a shame on a car like that.
  16. ^^^I lust after those as well. They are a sweet car. I even test drove some when I was looking for cars. I went with my Scooby in the end though. Why? Because every time I look in the garage and see it there I just smile.
  17. Very nice. Get some BFG's and you will be ready for the Rubicon.
  18. Very nice write up. Thanks Can't wait to see the pics
  19. ^^^I am no expert, but from what I have read it is not exactly an easy swap. Its not just the mechanical stuff, there is also quite a bit of wiring to do as well to make the transfer possible. Possible yes easy no
  20. Very nice. Cant wait to see some dyno numbers when that is complete.
