I finally got around to digging through all my extra stuff from my lgt. Most of this is stock stuff that would make good extra parts. As rare as these cars are I really do not want any of this stuff go to waste. I will list the parts below. All prices are shipped to lower 48. As I said, most of these are stock parts but would make nice spare parts if you need them.

 

-Stock steering wheel:100 shipped

I also have a exhaust manifold heat shield, radiator, and stock shocks. Not really worth much, but if you want them for just the shipping I would be glad to send them.

Fwiw The first time I pulled the engine I left the turbo on. It was a pain to clear the oil pan like you said. The two other times I just pulled the manifold. As easy as it is to pull it will make your life much easier.

Well, my car is finally gone. The guy I sold it too seems really excited and into the 5th gen so I think he will be a good caretaker. Sad about it being gone, but happy about who got it. If anyone is wondering what my next plans are, they are a bit different. I am planning on building an sr20 and throwing it in an old roadster like a sunbeam alpine.

 

On a side note. I have a ton of stock parts that I will be going through and putting up for sale. Even if they don’t sell I will gladly ship stuff to people for the cost of shipping. I don’t want rare 5th gen parts to go to waste. If you are in need of something let me know. I probably have it.

As far as the verticooler goes. Fits and works great. Rubs the firewall a bit with the Sri trans, but no real complaints. Worthwhile upgrade for sure.

Hi everyone,

I figured I should post something to get ahead of the curve, since I am sure someone will see my car in the classifieds and say something.

 

I have decided to sell my car. Since moving to Idaho I just do not have any chances to use it and honestly there is not much left to do to the car and I need some kind of project.

 

First off I want to thank all of you for being such good friends throughout the time that I have owned the car. I will be selling the car, but I will still be around and may keep you up to date on whatever my next project is going to be. I am not sure yet, but I really want something RHD imported from Japan. So stay tuned for that, but as always thanks for being a great group.

That's the story I got from him. I never pushed too hard since I didn't need it back, but I still felt a bit shafted.

Solgt-Sorry for your troubles. Trust me I know the feeling. Just food for thought. Not sure what your rebuild will cost or what islandborn paid for his rebuild, but the Sti swap cost me just under 5k. That was me doing all the Fab work myself, but still not too pricey for what you get.

I haven't driven it in so long I nearly forgot. That transmission turned it into the best car ever. So much more fun than it was before.

So the water pump bearing on my discovery started making noise. Drove it home from work hoping it would make it. Finally pulled the garage queen out for the first time since winter. Going to spend a few days driving her. Can't wait.

Well if that's not an invitation I don't know what is.

It has held up great so far. Definitely noisier than the factory trans, but an awesome improvement. Unfortunately the only way to give you dimensions would be to pull the mounts. I may be doing that soon. If I do I will be sure to,post pics and details of the mounts. I really should have done it earlier, but I was just too excited to get it all together.

I really should have a dyno run, but heck if I ever actually will get around to it. I plan on going to the 1/4 mile this spring and seeing how I do. I may do a dino tune before that to make sure everything is ok.
