  1. Yes! Moar! Stage 3 baby! You can fit 4 washers in there - but the nut barely fully tightens. 4 sounds reaaaallly nice!
  2. lol. sounds like something only a highly skilled woman could take care of. I wish you the best of luck.
  3. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v175/lukebuz/IMG_7893.jpg Awesome!!! Are you enjoying it???
  4. It's mostly the boxer burble - but it is helped by flanged on mufflers. Lots of cars are simply welded on. That sucks! And thanks to all my little hoglets who are helping push this to 1,000!!!
  5. New England? Holy crap. That's going to be at least a 1,000 mile drive. I won't kid you - don't expect me to make it. I'd rather drive 1,000 miles to something like the Grand Canyon.
  6. heh. awesome. *shakes hand* Where is this "big meat" at? I have lots of vacation saved up, so I think I could make it, if it's not thousands of miles away.... I'm getting hitched in early June, so anything late June on, I could do it.
  7. Is my new Avatar awesome, or what??! I based it off another guy on here who gave me the idea. I'm not that original: Original; he took my mad face and made it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v175/lukebuz/Avatars/Hogmeat20Exhaust1.jpg I made it into something that could fit the avatar box: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v175/lukebuz/Avatars/test8.gif I wish I still knew who made the original. I'd shake his hand.
  8. If you can get ahold of an electric or pneumatic (air compressor) impact wrench, the bolts should still be usable. I'd say, if they perhaps get busted, just drive w/o mufflers to the store for new bolts. I drove w/o mufflers for several days. Now THAT is DRONE!!
  9. the shop will have a wrench, and just blast them off in mere seconds. I used my impact to take off some big ass 18mm bolts that held up a frame crossmember of my 15 year old truck - all exposed and rusted to hell. It was awesome watching it work. In reverse was awesome too. Start them by hand, and then couldn't even wrench them back on it was so rusty. Impacted them back on, and blamo! All tight. Sooooo badass....
  10. With an older car, the nuts can really be stuck on there! I assume since you don't own a jack - you definately don't have an impact wrench. Honestly, I'd go to any exhaust shop and just ask them to remove the rusted bolts and replace them with new bolts. Tell them you don't want anything changed, you will do it yourself - you just need to get the rusted bolts out. Maybe charge you $15 american, at most. Good luck buddy. It's worth it, just like everyone says. By the way, I stick with washers too. 2 really thick ones. I did try the copper wire '1/2 gasket' trick - and honestly, i didn't notice any real difference. I mean, it just sounded a bit quieter, inside and outside. I have no drone to begin with - so I reverted back to washers. I like it a little bit louder.
  11. Here. Drink this Kool-Aid. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/ff/Kool-AidMan.jpg
  12. WOOT! NEW CONVERTS! Come closer my children. Soon the mothership will arrive and take us all into hog-heaven.
  13. 112... chucks, chocks. I just use my ebrake (if it's up on the front wheels, of course!!!!! I know it doesn't lock the front ones.) If I have to back to jack, i just use my ramps in reverse, and use them as cocks.
  14. I'm with some of the guys above: get yourself a set of Rhino Ramps from walmart or any autoparts store. Ask for them by name. $20 for a good deal, 25 some places. No jacking required. Just drive up them...
  15. If the 02's have the boxer motor, then yes - it will sound similar. Does your exhaust have similar flanges to the 05-07's? I know on some cars it's all welded on...just to piss you off. let us know.
  16. Go at least stage 1 then, still very much wifey approved - and then you have symmetry. I'm Obessive like that. I have to have it equal. Argh.
  17. What I wanted to do was to have a machine shop cut a 1/2 gasket (like the guy above) out of 1/2 inch think Aluminum barstock. Just provide a template, adn they could bandsaw it out in 3 mins...That way, no melt, last forever, look cool!!
  18. Sure, sure, I understand. I think it's time for the Hog to lie low for awhile. It's like on NFS:MW - my heat keeps going up. I'm at like 4x right now...been busted by the cops 4 times in a few outings, and they are looking for me. Maybe if I drive a different car for awhile... LOL!!
