Agreed! And the trans fluid changed.
Speaking of which, wasn't there a running update for the CVT for some sort of bearing? I need to look into that and see if it will be uncovered when they pull the block.
PM'd.
Thanks for the insight, I really hope that's still the case! They'll be calling me to set an appointment when it comes in so I can still request a Tech I assume.
Yes, under warranty, I'm just over 30k. Not sure how I feel about it yet, I need to see what Subaru considers in replacing the short block. I assume it will be "re-manufactured" but to what extent?
The great Flying Spaghetti Monster knows all!!!! Yeas, looks like a drain and fill. For the record, my first service will be a drain and fill only as I want any of the initial heavier wear particles to come out of the drain hole.
Yeah, but the ones that want that are thinking 6am. No thanks. I'll roll in at 7:30 or 8 and park somewhere on the rather large property, no worries. Just can't bring myself to get up at 4:30am on a weekend to have coffee and get out to a meet.
It's just a bunch of cars, 3 hours is plenty of time to walk through. I asked over at wrxatlanta who was going and if they'd picked a parking area, I'll post here when I find out (for the non-members).
Yes, I believe the CVT and front diff share fluid though? It's definitely not regular transmission fluid or gear lube up front though. The rear differential is just regular gear oil though.
