  1. So I just go in and say "I want my ECU and TCU reflashed"? I guess I just want monkey proof terminology. Last time I called a dealer they quoted me a fluid and filter change for my transmission at $79.99. I can't even.
  2. So if I'm at 40k miles and have the 100k warranty, if I go in and ask for updates will they do it free of charge? Do I have to come with specific complaints?
  3. Ouch, yeah, I thought I was cool with the '13, now I'm not so sure.
  4. Do these updates only fix the listed issues? My CVT has always annoyed me and I really liked the way the 2015 loaner I had behaved better. It droned less - allowing RPMs to vary a little under steady acceleration, and it didn't "downshift" every time I let off the gas to coast down a long hill.
  5. What's up local people!!! Anything new?
  6. From a safety standpoint, don't shift to neutral while moving, you lose one of the biggest safety systems in your car - the ability to accelerate. From a gas mileage standpoint, you use more gas idling the engine than coasting down in gear. The computer cuts fuel under engine braking. From a longevity standpoint, I can only assume the dealer installed the updated CVT with the different style bearings. Theoretically this one should last unless a different flaw is found.
  7. I enjoy shooting but haven't been since I left TN. Back there I had friends with land so we'd just go shoot. Here in the city that seems frowned upon I am not a fan of the indoor shooting ranges. Wife has a brand new 9mm I got her for carry that she's never even shot (she tested their demo before we purchased).
  8. PM'ing email. I'm sure we can come up with a price, once we figure out what a fair price is lol.
  9. Thanks! I was hoping to see something to address the weird CVT behavior in mine, but alas...
  10. $10!!!!!! Miles and condition? I'll really have to figure out what a decent offer is, I haven't been shopping since shipping would be so high.
  11. Back up from the deep deep south. What did I miss? Any great deals on twin exhaust tips?
  12. PSA, if you pull the housing and the thermostat stays in your block, make sure the side of the t-stat you see when you put it in the housing to put back on the block is the other side.
  13. Yeah, but I am so fed up with the Chrysler product, I wish I could afford to trade it for a 2012 Forester with oil consumption problems Not looking forward to this job tbh. Might start tomorrow evening and finish Tuesday.
  14. Just ordered a radiator for the wife's Jeep Liberty. Should be here Tuesday. Taking the day to install.
  15. Oh the full deep throaty pipe e'ry time! So what did you do with that stock exhaust?
  16. Wow, that looks "dirty", like internal combustion dirty.
  17. My old OBS had a nice low rumble. My NA Legacy needs to stay silent but needs that extra tip (but not just the tip).
  18. Smells like naphthalene in here... what's new everybody?
  19. Nice! Not much here, bought my son (in TN) a 2004 Infiniti I35. Little nervous about a youngster with a bunch of FWD power but he needed a car for his last year of high school.
  20. I've always wondered how much clamping power was enough, especially on street tires or even for autocross. I mean, once you exceed the stick of your tires (either tripping ABS or locking up), isn't that all you're going to get? To me it's more about feel and heat dissipation.
  21. Anybody else affected by the over 9 hours and counting power outage off Burnt Hickory Rd? Seriously Cobb EMC?
  22. Post at wrxatlanta as well.
  23. Hey Ben, how many for sale ads you gonna post on wrx There's 4 or 5
  24. Yes, after the dealer fixed the things they broke and I had a long chat with SoA.
