  1. This is what the ARC scoop extension looks like from the inside and from the side. I like that u can visually see a bump from the inside so ur reminded u have a hoodscoop like the GD and SG
  2. that im not sure, i just let the shop i always go to that specialize on subarus do all the work lol so whatever they did, i trust it. Actually this is about the same size 2-row as koyorad. and thank you! i thought the same! the color scheme of the cover matches the car, the strut bar and engine bay overall, which is why i didnt mind putting it on the car and one of the reasons why i got it. but the guys in this particular facebook group are mad as hell that i have these S402 stuff in my engine bay haha. im like its purely for aesthetics relax.. when i went to the dealership, it was late at night so most ppl were gone for the day but i was showing it to the salesperson/my buddy that sold me the car and another person that works there was looking at it too mesmerized by it after the car wash. i will go again this weekend to get a new key fob so we will see the attention it will draw haha
  3. So surprisingly and interestingly, the koyorad had a crack on it and started leaking coolant.. i did put 30k hard miles on it but still.. it shouldnt fail sooner than the mishimoto i have on my forester for years. I was suggested to go with csf radiator and thats what i did. 08'-15' wrx sti fitment, 42mm 2-row aluminum rad.
  4. S402 184/402 badge plate on. I know it doesnt make sense to put s402 stuff on but its nice and pretty and rare af so whatever idc enjoy. Some guys on fb head exploded when i showed them the 402 engine cover lol
  5. Slash cf side mirror cover and ARC? cf hoodscoop extension on! Finally got them clearcoated. This cant be made by ARC cuz the fitment is horrible lol the left side have excess sticking out.. oh well..
  6. Car wash at the subaru dealer i bought the car from
  7. nice car! we have similar suspension mods!
  8. Pictures after brembo install. Rain washed all the salt away
  9. Added the Bilstein emblem to the engine bay instead of exterior and a genuine S402 sticker. I know its not the correct time period car as this is a 2006 legacy but idc it looks nice lol
  10. came across it on japan auctions. all of my jdm bits are from japan auctions lol
  11. New o2 sensor, power steering pump, clutch slave and master and installed brembo calipers and new brake pads, rotors and ss brake/clutch lines! Also got a cf trunk emblem
  12. whoops, it was editing lol. there fixed it and thanks!
  13. Been driving the forester for the week while the legacy is in the shop for maintenance. Its been 10 years since the forester seen snow. Its so fitting driving it in the winter.
  14. Brembos on! Brand new front calipers are coated with Ion ceramic coating and rear calipers are used but in great condition but did a rebuild kit with the seals anyways
  15. i actually had my forester buddy retrofit my forester headlights using retrofitsource projectors and wiring, D2H XB 5k HID bulbs with D2S AMP ballasts https://www.subaruforester.org/threads/sg9-forester-sti-replica.526953/page-5#post-7898039
  16. tbh i went the quick and easy route as i bought depo clear no amber headlights (and they look great), got them ppf'd, and put LED in (lowbeam and switchback turn signal) and call it a day. the LED i went with are actually from my buddy's shop. he has his own logo branded LED made from china but theyre bright as hell. I tried a couple LED before and they were not as bright as the ones i have now.
  17. thanks! but believe it or not, theyre actually LED
  18. Silver with white lights look so good with the snow
  19. The fender braces? Nah they were listed for legacies
  20. I couldnt find any install guides surprisingly on the jspeed fender braces but its pretty straight forward. The most tedious part is getting the fender off but i was able to manage to remove the fender without taking the bumper and headlight and fender liner all the way off. However, unfortunately even though it was stated that the brace that i got was for the BL legacy, it does not fit and will require cutting and drilling to fit becuz it is too long on the top part. The corner circle part also does not fit into any existing hole on the frame so its just free flowing if that makes sense. I dont think it will matter when the other part is screwed on cuz it will become tight enough for the back of it to just rest on the frame with no slack. Guess when i get my jdm bumpers and fenders painted, ill have the shop install the rest of it. For now the driver only have 1/2 part screwed on.
  21. Yea even if its subtle, its an upgrade so why not. Cant beat the price either
  22. Turns out the trans o-ring have been leaking quite a lot, half of the fluid was left when the shop flushed it out. Im guessing this mightve happened sometime in the last 5k miles since i had my oil changed, they didnt mention it. Before the flush, I noticed that it grinds a little when i go into 1-3 gears but not everytime. As a result there are metal shavings in the trans fluid and damage has been done. Fluid is almost 30k miles old and now it looks metallic and dirty. Shop said to just keep driving it for now and not to worry about it becuz whats done is done, its just concerning and be prepared is what they said. After flush I noticed that when the car/fluids is fully warmed up, there is no grinding feeling. The brake and clutch fluids are also dirty after 30k miles so ill get them flush too when i go in for brembo install. Guess ill have to inevitably swap to 6spd sometime in the future. I wanted to do that anyway but at the same time dont want to cuz of how much it costs but i think if i look for a 6spd from a spec b, it will make things more affordable and less tedious on changing the hubs to 5x114.3 as i want to avoid that. At least i have the motivation to do so now lol
