  1. funny, we just bought an alltrack and I'm like, where's the community at, its like a ghost for any sort of online references. Also this entire section of this website: https://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/technical-forums-4.html
  2. interesting, I was just reading about this in another thread which is where I was getting the info I passed on. Think this was the one https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/map-sensor-max-psi-bad-map-sensori-175423.html
  3. could be the fuel system priming. the fuel pressure regulator is on the driver side shock tower and I noticed humming when I upgraded to an STI FPR with less insulation from the chassis. It sounds like it is coming from the dash.
  4. i was wondering if it wasn't a bad MAP sensor? I know I got the same code when I bumped against the upper end of the MAP sensor range with a 21 psi tune.
  5. I just finally pulled the trigger on an AP to go flexfuel after years of tactrix/open source. haven't plugged it in yet, but encouraged by some of the positive reviews here.
  6. +1 on talking to your tuner on what they recommend. And totally understand you wanting to not overkill, just sharing my experience with larger sidefeeds, which sounds farily common. I tried to go the less expensive route with my fueling, but here I am a couple years later converting to top feed, plus the cost of the sidefeeds and a new tune. Wish I had just done that at the beginning. Would have saved me basically the cost of the TF conversion.
  7. I've had a couple surging issues over the years, its usually a bad front O2 sensor giving variable fuel/air information to the ECU. There's also something about aftermarket speed sensors in the wheels that can cause it in cruise control.
  8. 850's are about as big as you can go with sidefeed, but I've found them to be troublesome on mine- inconsistent fueling and poor idle so converting to top feed and 1050x's. Those seem to be the goto and would leave plenty of headroom for e85. as for the pump, I have a dw65c and have had no problems with it, drop in install.
  9. hopefully you don't end up spending it on a burnt exhaust valve on cylinder 4!
  10. yeah, I only noticed the N's NVH at idle, and just had tuner raise it to 1000 and it was gone.
  11. yeah, if I remember the thread correctly the STI FPCM is only good for about 1v increase but gets it into nominal range. We'll see soon when I get around to installing all this Flex and new injectors.
  12. Didn't see headers on your list but worth considering. The STI fuel pump control unit might be a more straightforward solution than hardwiring your pump. I too have a 440xt and about to go flex, we'll see how close to 400 I end up.
  13. yeah, its the best of both worlds- long cruising gear, R180 and F/R LSD's. You do need Spec B rear axles (Forester STI comes with STI style axles) and STI master cylinder. I used a 5EAT driveshaft and the same front axles. The transmission is a bit noisy, not sure if its the LSD or what, but my old one was fairly noisy as well so probably bushings related. Definitely been one the of the best upgrades to the car I've done. Especially with a bigger turbo that spools later.
  14. my perrin always seemed like it was trying to pull off the turbo so i’d be cautious about trimming it. better bet might be to get a silicon bpv hose.
  15. $1500 or so for seats from Japan, you could always look on Crooooober and find a pair to get a shipping quote. The JDM through Russia parts I've bought were all through ebay.
  16. I've gotten a few things through Russian sellers without issue, although the shipping through Russia Post was slow. Remember, Russia is just across the Sea of Japan and it seems like there are more and more dismantlers working JDM cars there lately. Generally better prices than Japan outlets.
  17. I've used croooober a few times with good result, shipping prices are kinda rough right now because of the pandemic. Why not just get it through ebay? https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Sti-Genome-twin-exhaust-mufflers-subaru-legacy-BP5/113921335532?fits=Model%3ALegacy&hash=item1a863da0ec:g:q8EAAOSwd~9dTkDj
  18. Koni's still need to be swapped off the car, will post them with uploaded pics once they're liberated and I can estimate shipping for them.
  19. only thing sold so far is the Ohlins, everything else is still available, boxed and ready for same day priority mail ship
  20. better pics of the camber plates after some more cleanup. these fits imprezas as well. https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/top-hats/msisub02-18-001-mooresport-street-adjustable-front-upper-mounts
