Ceramic blocks uv rays and heat better than standard. I had my tint installed last week.
I have 20% standard in the rear windshield and doors. I have 80% ceramic on the front windshield and both driver and passenger doors. I do notice that it is considerably cooler when I get in the car. I don't have to stand outside and leave the door open to let the heat escape anymore.
There are two reasons I went with ceramic in the front only. First cost. For the whole car would have been $600. So ceramic was front only. That ties into the second reason, and that's I sit in front. I hardly have passengers. And the heat gets absorbed by the interior in the back. Whereas in the front the dashboard, steering wheel and shifter absorbed all the heat as well as the front windshield. When the temp gauge reads in the triple digits I don't need to drive with a cloth around the steering wheel and shifter anymore. My A/C doesn't have to work as hard either.
So if you can get away with ceramic in the front I say go for it.
