Soooooo my clutch completely went out. Had to have it towed. The earliest idea was that my master cylinder crapped out. However, GTEASER called it - it was my pivot ball and clutch fork inside the trans that caused it. Which turned out to be great timing for the boss find to replace those pieces -

(located in our performance mod sticky too)
Got overnight delivery - Gillman Subaru will take care of it. OH! They are going to clean up my headlights too just cause they love me! Yay!
-
I mean, they would look nice right?
You and GTEASER should have a competition on who has the most car parts sitting uninstalled.
-
i'm looking at the kns 4k rotors myself.thinking about going with the carbotech bobcat 1521 pads.... Because they would look real nice sitting on my shelf.

Had to order side skirt plastic clips after I notice the skirt was hanging low at the back door. I believe my sister in-law daughter stepped on the side skirt when entering and exiting the vehicle that was the same side where her car seat was mounted.
totally something I need to do to. 4 year old daughter does the same.

Can anyone tell me what part number for 2015 front brembo seal kit?
This upgrade has me thinking I went an upgrade too far. Rotors were down to nothing in 6 months and now this. The stock setup is good for 70k+ miles.
How hard is this on DIY scale?
Thanks in advance
Outside one seal (used it)... I have a full front kit if you want it - pay shipping and take it. Pm me if you want it.

This is a compilation of the major builds that have taken place over the years. I've only included the ones that are quite involved to help others hunt and become enabled. There are some that have done a lot but just don't have a "build list" (that I could find) - make one, I'll add you.

could be a hardwire for a radar detector or dashcam. Many have a phone line plug for power (beltronics and my new Uniden has one). Look in your fuse box to see if any fuses have been tapped. If so, you don't have to add it!
-
Hey! At least I don't come cheap.
-
Changed the oil, put on the master cylinder brace, pulled off my 25mm spacers (now for sale).... yup.
-
Awe crap. Bought a head unit. Stock just doesn't do it for me. Been a fan of Kenwood head units since the late 80s - no other reason.

I've been in Nashville the last couple of days. Doing some tourist type stuff and just relaxing/drinking lol.
Very nice looking city. The Country Music HOF was super cool, and the Jack Daniel's distillery tour in Lynchburg was great.
Off to Shreveport, LA for the weekend next. Crawfish festival over the weekend, and then wrapping up in Nashville early next week.
You know.... if you wander down to Houston you can meet up with me and Zee! Or... if you give a time table we could meet you.....

After rebuilding my ISC Coilovers - realized I need to buy new dust boots. I also got carried away and bought some coilover covers (why the covers? no clue. Thought they were sexy).....

I can't afford any new breakthroughs! haha

Did you have the cap off the m/c reservoir to relieve pressure on the other pistons?
yup. I read somewhere that this is sorta par for the course after so many years the little rubber seals sorta get weak - hence why you can buy the kits. Its no real biggie outside time - guy at the dealership will rebuild it for me for no charge. Friends with benefits!
-
Spent the weekend on the car - changed the oil, replaced the low beams, started on the front rotors and brakes. Did the drivers side - awesome. Got to the passenger side and while trying to compress my pistons to put the new pads in the Brembos.... oops, one piston popped out! crap. Brake fluid all over the place. Well, its in my truck and I'll take it to the dealership to have them put it back together. SO not all finished yet.
-
Nobody?
nothing here... would the vacation picts help show info?

After almost 5yrs of ownership, I've just popped my 1st code. P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold. Reset the code and will see if it pops up again on my drive home this afternoon, but from light reading it doesn't seem like a huge issue.
Ha! I get that every couple of weeks. Either my AVO Jpipe's cat is finally starting to go or the sensor... either way, I called The Shop and they said they can prob kill the code via the AP. I'm going to wander down sometime so they can rebuild my coilovers so I'll have them do that at the same time.
-
Well... I bought new front rotors and pads - same set up as what I'm running now - DBAs and Hawk HPS. I'm going to change those this weekend along with a good oil change. Also, time for a rebuild on the ISC coilovers. I put about 75k miles on them and finally one started leaking so figured why not just rebuild them all at the same time. $75 per coilover i don't think is so bad at all. Ordered.

hardwired my new radar detector. that was fun. Replaced my Beltronics STi Magnum with a Uniden R3.
-
Dammit. Pushed the "buy" button. I tried a STI steering wheel, figured it wouldn't bother me on the small fitment issues, but, it did. If one would get the STI airbag to hook up it would be awesome - but I'm just gonna go with one that matches our bag. Now the 2-3 weeks of waiting.....
https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/43347
never ends....
AND a failure here. They don't have any left. It was such a great price - hence why I jumped. So crap - went with a DAMD one. Blue stitching.
And now I'll have a STI steering wheel on sale!
-
Ordered an upgrade.

I have a great Beltronic STi Magnum but with all the rich cars floating around where I live with assisted driving and blind spot radar, its getting triggered too much. I'll put it up for sale on the classified when I get the new one wired in. Also bought a hardwire kit for the new one.
What did you do to your 5th gen today?? -V4
