  2. White LGT Wagon with black wheels. On south border road, near the 93 rotary. Bearded driver. Was not in my LGT, so you didn't see me. That wagon looks great in white. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. This is easily the cleanest, nicest, most well maintained LGT I've ever seen. Makes me a little embarrassed for the condition mine is in, in comparison. Do you just store it in the winter to hide from the salt, or is really more of a situation where if a speck of oxidation develops, you just replace the entire part with something new and awesome. Or maybe you just bought it in 2006 and took it completely apart and greased/oiled everything and then just kept everything in climate controlled/humidity controlled permanent storage? Nicely done Underdog.
  4. White LGT wagon with quad tip exhaust and BBS(?) wheels in silver. Subaru and 2.5GT badges removed. Legacy badge remains. Headed up 38 near the Woburn/Winchester line, just now.
  5. Devens. The old Army base airport was taken over by the State Police as a driver training facility. On the weekends, they let some of the local clubs autocross on the runways. www.ner.org - New England Region SCCA http://www.renegademiata.net - Local Miata club. You don't need a Mazda, but you do need a membership in either Renegade Miata or SCCA. There's also a Porshe club, but I think they require that you drive a Porshe. Also a BMW club and an SVT Mustang club. Don't know too much about those as I've only just started this year. NER SCCA is where I started and it's the right place for novices as well. There's an NER event this Sunday with tomorrow as the sign-up deadline. There's a Renegade Miata event on Sat, the 15th, but they limit the number of entries and may be full, but check with them if interested in that. There's also another NER event toward the end of the month. Expect to get there about 7 am and stay until 4-5pm. If you have any more questions, lemme know. Be happy to help. Also, there's a local LGT.com member buck03the7man that has been doing it at Devens for a few years. He's the guy that's been doing a little hand holding for me so far. Great guy. Ask him or me anything if you're interested.
  6. Yep, that was me at Motive. No front mount intercooler though. Just the JDM front bumper. The gauges are correct though. Three gauges on the A-pillar. The boost gauge doesn't work very well and the AFR gauge has never been hooked up. And two more oil gauges in the center cubby. It's my nod to the boy ricer that I missed out on when I was 16 and had no money to spend on cool cars. Was in to replace nearly 2 year old CM FX350 segmented clutch that I burned up while autocrossing. After looking at it, turns out that it was nearly done anyway even if I hadn't glazed it over. Put in a new ACT 6-puck. Pedal effort is increased a bit, but nothing ridiculous. Firepuma is right on about my wagon too. It is not a particularly happy camper right now. The stage 2 tune is now close to three years old and while my BrenTune has been extremely solid until now, I think the mechanical stuff is starting to drift a little bit from the tune. I've got some afterfire and the learning view is still showing IAM at 1 and most of the bottom table is 0s, but the right hand column has a lot of red. The top table doesn't look great either, but I don't think I'm at the panic stage yet. I think I've also got a wicked suspension clunk up front that I can't reproduce consistently and I can't find what's loose or making contact. Alberto also gave me a nice long list of things to start looking out for, including some increasing shaft play on sigmafour's old vf40. Still considering my options on that as I kinda don't want to upgrade the turbo right now as that will put me into an autocross class I don't want to be in. Still planning to go to a Dom1.5 eventually, but now I need to decide if I want to have JmP rebuild this vf40 and stay at stage 2 for another year or two or just do the brand new turbo and screw the SCCA classing. Meh, I'm gonna run it hard at autocross this weekend and next and pray that my long list of minor problems doesn't turn into a major problem.
  7. Nah, he was doing the speed limit. That's why I was so sure it was somebody else.
  8. White LGT wagon in Winchester near the tennis courts yesterday. Did not look like sigmafour driving.
  9. ^ Atlantic Blue. Regal Blue is that darker almost purple blue. 1 of the other 98?
  10. Shouldn't be too hard to spot that wide ass rear end. It's so big that it doesn't disappear in the distance until obscured by the curvature of the Earth. Besides, I can always mod my car to make it faster, yours will always be ugly.
  11. You've seen it before. And it's Atlantic Blue, not Newport Blue. But that's a forgivable offense. ... So, I'm heading up 495N toward 3 around 6:20 pm coming home from autocross at Devens and I'm just tooling along in middle lane taking it easy on myself and the LGT after a hard full day in the sun on the course. Random mirror check yields a turbo Subaru closing fast in the right lane. In the far distance, it might be a white WRX, but as it closes I realize it's an LGT. As it begins to really get close ... I notice it's actually a white LGT wagon! So I start waving like crazy up by the passenger window as he blows by. I only have time for a glance so I have no idea who's driving or if he was waving or even if he saw my wave as he was clearly haulin the mail. But then he pulls over in front of me and gives me the flashers and I bang mine in response and then he's gone. And then I think to myself, "Didn't sigma get a white wagon recently? That had to have been him." That was actually a really fun spotting for me. I do see LGT wagons in the wild, but not that often. By the way, that debadged rear end looks outstanding on white. That color complements debadging really well on the wagon. Better than any other color. Just looks super clean. Very nice my friend.
  12. We clearly need to use paper towels at the exact same rate. I'm there once a month or so. If I have a kid with me though, I'm gonna be in the Flex.
  13. You're waving at too many n/a owners. They wouldn't recognize another Subaru if you got in a wreck with them. Restrict the waves to turbo owners and your hit rate should go way up. Helps if you're not on the stock wheels. Remember, they aren't used to noticing LGTs, but they're friendly enough if you can get their attention.
  14. y u connecticutions in VT, u stay in conn!!
  15. #081 of 500 parked at Shattuck Hardware in Arlington. Confused me because it looked like a specb, but is had a 2.5GT badge on the back. One I saw the red leather, I had to peek in at the center console to be sure. Could have sworn the 2006 had a specb badge, but now I'm not so sure.
  16. Outta my way you slow ass CT drivers!
  17. I totally hicksta'd my intercooler while reinstalling it and then I was out on the highway and went way lean with unmetered air under boost and completely sigmafoured my engine at speed. It was super sketchy. Now though, I'm considering frank_stering in a turbo 6 though I may just go the easier route and rebuild with a new shortblock. If I do that though, somebody suggested that I should MaxCapacity a build thread to get some tips. First thing I'll need to do though is MrTris my parts list. This time, I'll make sure that I BarManBean my new intercooler too. Especially if I'm gonna boxkita my wagon on the weekends.
  18. ... perfectly. "**** you Cryptarch!"
  19. "This is not the first time this has happened."
  20. What I would be interested in is having those outer edges be not flat. Obviously, they're like that because you've run out of room, but could they be closer together? Or would the gauge faces then be touching if any closer together. Just seems like the gap between them is wasted space when you're cutting off the edges. Also, how's that depth look as compared to the gauge? Is there room to make the tubes less deep, more inset into the cubby? Seems like they're sticking out really far. Please note: all criticism is intended to be constructive. This is all very well done and totally above my personal level. I'm impressed/interested.
  21. Bella is totally gonna get with Team Dujo and make Subie-love babies.
  22. Alright, about three days ago, I spotted an ABP wagon over by the Winchester tennis courts while not in my Subaru. I just assumed that it was one of the other two ABP wagons I've spotted in the area before and I was non-Subaru at the time, so wasn't gonna get spotted in return, so I didn't post it. Mistake of course. Unclemat just spotted me at the transfer station from his non-Subaru and we figured out that it was him that I spotted. Turns out we're very local to one another.
  23. I think you missed the rest of the sticker, pretty sure it said, "You just got passed by a wagon."
