  1. And do they mix concentrated rice-a-roni with normal rice-a-roni in order to make super rice-a-roni while still being able to claim that it is 100% rice-a-roni?
  2. 100% fruit juice really is all fruit juice, but that doesn't mean they don't monkey with it to increase the sugar content make it sweeter/more palatable/less healthy. They sweeten it with fruit juice concentrate. In other words, they start with regular juice, then remove some water and refine the sugar in the remainder and then take that super sweet juice concentrate and mix again with fresh juice to the desired ratios. Hence, still legit claim that it's 100% juice, but it's not quite what you think and it's not quite as healthy as the claim would lead you to believe. Fruit juice is already high in natural sugar and they raise the sugar content artificially. They just happen to use a sweetened form of the juice in order to make the 100% juice claim.
  3. GRP 4th gen GT wagon getting off exit 11 from I-84 past Waterbury this morning at rush hour. Looked pretty stock.
  4. Grimmspeed has a nice exhaust gasket kit. Has heads to exhaust manifolds x 2, crosspipe x 2, up to turbo, turbo to down, and a 3 in flat down to catback. No donut gasket if you have 2.5" stock exhaust connection at the catback. Can just get that from Subaru. Be super careful pulling the radiator hoses. Easy to break the old brittle plastic on the radiator. Ask me how I know. Ask me how I like my new all aluminum Koyo radiator. That'll balloon your budget in a heartbeat.
  5. He means the Momo knob. Technically, the Momo knob is not oem from the factory. It is a dealer accessory, so your "stock" interior may or may not have it. Unless you are really looking to sell that knob to Alex, I can hook him up. PM sent to Alex. Sorry if I stepped on anybody's toes.
  6. Tree'd the hell out of the other guy at least. How did he even get to the line? It's not like he was in reverse and just pushed the clutch in without moving the gear lever. He had to be in first gear to get there. And then had to willfully decide to then put it in reverse. The only possible way this makes any sense at all is if reverse is very near first gear on the shift pattern, like a push down reverse lock out or something (on a Honda Civic?). Otherwise, how does this even happen? Edit: Ah no wait. My drag race inexperience is showing. They reverse back to the line after a burnout, don't they? Answered my own question. ... But don't they back up past the line and then inch forward into the box to trip the light?
  7. Yesterday afternoon in Leominster. 5th gen LGT! Spotted in the wild. Was near Main St or thereabouts (south of 2, don't remember for sure the exact location). Looked stock. May not be on here. Pretty sure it was stock wheels, but he was rollng. Whatever the dark gray / black color is. Same as pfoyle's. Is it DGM?
  8. Forgot to mention ... last Sunday on 495 N near Ayer, as I was coming home from autox, BSM 05-06 LGT with red RallyArmors and big exhaust cans. Tried to catch up to give you the deuces, but had no chance in my wife's Honda Accord. (What can I say, the LGT wagon is not ready for autocross season).
  9. See user DocHolliday here on LGT.com for all your vinyl sticker needs! You can probably get the logo printed whatever color you want. Gloss black. Sticker. Clearcoat. Done. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/official-legacy-gt-sticker-connection-151856.html?highlight=doc+holladay Enjoy!
  10. All 77 of 'em. Turns out I couldn't help myself. I went and looked back at a few. He was cutting and pasting other people's posts into new random threads. Establishing a post count, mayhap? I may have inadvertently flagged down a mod.
  11. Dude. You post in the weirdest places. CV joint boot question in a 4 year old dead thread about posting track times? I'm a little tempted to go see what the other 77 posts are about and where in the heck they are located, but I just can't bring myself to care. Let me suggest that you might get better responses if you pay a little more attention to where you are posting. Good luck and welcome to LGT.com!!!
  12. So, unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your questions, but I do know that there is a big thread out there on the forum that talks all about the differences between the Legacy and Outback suspension. I'll bet if you can track that down, it will answer most of your questions about modifying it too.

  14. White LGT 5MT wagon (tpe interior) with aftermarket wheels in the Stop n Shop parking lot in Winchester. Gave you a "nice LGT wagon" when you got back to your car. Looked pretty local. Do you know Unclemat? He's in town too.
  15. teh rice thread is srs biznes. There's nothing funny in here.
  16. If it were a GT, I would believe that the owner is just trying to be funny and ironic. On a pzev, I really do believe the owner just doesn't understand the difference. I hope you wrote a nice little note and left it on his windshield to help him avoid any further embarrassment.

  19. The proof links all go to the same location: O_vang's post.
  20. Is this a picture of a Subaru meet at a uhaul place? There's like four modified Subarus in that pic, not counting the 2nd gen Outback or the LGT sedan. There's no way that's just a natural occurrence. And I don't even know what those white hellas (on the right) are mounted on. Some sort of 70s Buick Skylark with a light bar and no front bumper?
  21. Spotted Derek himself (but no LGT, because of course he brings the S2000 instead) at the last autox of the season yesterday at Devens. What a great day I had yesterday. I really feel like I've had a breakthrough at my last two events. I've been running all damn season at least 15 seconds off the fastest time of the day (not counting the Dragons and Formula Fords and such, I'm talking production street cars here). Which means I'm usually about 10 seconds off Matt and his awesome wide-body sti (my in class competition in ASP). Which makes me about 8 seconds off Derek. Yesterday, I threw down a 61.7 which was 6 seconds off Derek and about 9 or 10 seconds off the fastest street cars. That is a significant improvement against the field. Yay! I'm finally getting better. Not only that, but it rained Saturday night and the course was pretty wet and cold in the morning which made for a lot of slickness out there. I felt like I was dancing on ice all morning. On my very first run, I got very, very sideways. On my second run, I got a little bent out of shape transitioning from the taxiway to the runway and ended up with my first ever off pavement into the grass to cut the corner and DNF. An interesting side benefit of all this lack of grip was that I think I might finally have started to figure out how and when to catch the car on counter steer when it starts to over-rotate. Before yesterday, if I was hitting a turn too hard with the weight going the other way, I was going around, like it or not, or at least getting completely out of shape and off course or at least trashing the run. Not only that, but I had a ton of fun as a complete noob (new to autocross, but not new to his car) in an Evo showed up in class against me and gridded next to me all day. His 100 extra hp, 30mm of extra tire, and several hundred pounds lighter on me versus my dozen or so events more experience ended up meaning one thing: we were competitive. Can't tell you how much fun we had going back and forth all day and then getting out and talking about our runs together. So I finally put down a clean, but slow run for the last run of the morning. In the afternoon, I had a great 1st run for a 62. Then I ended up in the grass again on the back stretch on my penultimate run. Not only that, but my 62 was slower than my new Evo-buddy's 62. I was in second with one run to go. I had to go faster for my final run if I wanted to top my class (of the two of us). For my final run, I was tight and quick in the slow spots and I hauled the mail on the straights for a great run and I threw down that 61.7 and jumped ahead! He had a check engine light on the last run and couldn't improve. Unfortunately, when I checked the standings a few minutes later, I found out they had given me a cone and so my 61 wouldn't stand. I didn't think I hit a cone, but I'm sure I could have easily wobbled one out of the box and never even heard it, so I didn't worry too much about it. Then when I checked the final standings today, they had corrected my cone to +0 and at the end, I did stand on top! Man that was a ton of fun. Alright, I'm not 100% sure what I'm gonna do with tires, so this is what I think I'm gonna try. I'll be switching to the winters any day now, but when I come back to the summers in the Spring, I have one Michelin PSS that had a nasty sidewall bulge. I also happen to have one Michelin PSS on my fifth wheel spare that has almost no wear on it whatsoever. I'm thinking that I might see if I can get that one shaved down to match the other three and then run 'em for a half a season or so. I really want to go r-comps, but I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet. I've still got tread on these street tires yet. Once I feel like I've run enough events on 'em, I'll probably break out the r-comps and run a separate daily and autocross set. Then I'll just drive the PSSs on the street 'til they're completely dead (end of next summer probably) and run autocross on the r-comps. I'm not sure about all the timing of that, but we'll see how it goes. Special thanks to bucko3the7man for all your assistance this season. I had an unbelievable amount of fun and you absolutely helped me find my way to doing this. And finally, if anybody in New England finds themselves interested in getting started in autocross next season, feel free to hit me or bucko with any questions about how to get started. It would be awesome to have a fleet of LGTs out there flying the Subaru flag!
