First Page!! Current: http://i.imgur.com/Zu8zqsjh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hLRXTwvh.jpg Past: http://i.imgur.com/DsqRPe3h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/OMcsoN8h.jpg -
Yeah it fits nice! I need to adjust it a little but I slid it on last night. http://i.imgur.com/nwD4E28h.jpg The tie rod thing? Nah, the WRX tie rod end (I think thats what its called right?) doesn't fit, I am going to order some Legacy ones, hopefully the rod itself is the same diameter as the Legacy!

Damn, I haven't updated this thread in too long! SO updates: - Tie rods don't fit, I am going to order Legacy end links and put those on. - Steering knuckle thing between column and rack didn't fit, so I combined the two: http://i.imgur.com/buEtSuNh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VRXk4mbh.jpg Dashboard which was previously thought to be unsalvageable has been brought back from the dead by my lovely wife, who has been scrubbing it with vinyl cleaner whenever I am working on the car: http://i.imgur.com/9XgeJUQh.jpg The whole dash looked like this white dry elephant foot part prior to her starting: http://i.imgur.com/PiTwuLyh.jpg Here it is now, tough to get a good photo: http://i.imgur.com/g3mim9Th.jpg http://i.imgur.com/v7DWzNAh.jpg Once she is all done cleaning it I am going to seal it with some product recommended by a detailer friend. I also removed the vents so they could be properly cleaned, they were so filthy and caked with dirt. Even inside the dash was filled with dirt. http://i.imgur.com/5ft6selh.jpg A friend of mine needed a new steering rack, so I traded him my original one, plus non-turbo crossmember for some BC coilovers. They are for 05-09 Legacy GT, so the rears aren't going to work on my car, but the fronts will work once I swap out the top hats. I am contemplating rebuilding them, but I have never done so before and there is a lot of conflicting info on the forums, so Im not quite sure yet. http://i.imgur.com/JoKhbEEh.jpg -
I feel like Im the only one who posts in here, but here goes! I just put a GC crossmember and rack into my first gen, it bolts up perfectly but the steering joint/knuckle isn't the same. The GC one is longer than the OEM legacy one by a good bit. It doesn't look like it can be taken apart, do anyone have any experience with this issue or know what a fix may be? GC on Left, BF on Right http://i.imgur.com/buEtSuNh.jpg C - Crossmember Side R - Rack Side edit: Found this while researching. I would always consider something like this to be last resort, but is that just the way to make this work? http://i.imgur.com/KEgdFapl.png

Questions. I've done some searching and can't find a real answer. I picked up some coils today from a friend for essentially nothing, but they are for 2000+ Legacy. From what I've read the fronts will fit if I buy new top hats, but it says the rears won't fit. Can anyone tell me if I can use the rears if I buy new top hats, or is it just an all around no?

Put the crossmember in today! http://i.imgur.com/No372hoh.jpg Got it all bolted in today. The sway bar and tie rods don't bolt right up to the Legacy hubs. The sway bar that came with the crossmember has a different type of bolt on the end, it seems to be pressed in with a nut on one end; while the original one had a bolt that went directly through it. Does the tie rod need to be pressed in, or should it freely slide in? I measured both of them and they are almost exactly the same size.

Finally got my work bench set up so I have somewhere to work, rather than sitting on the ground! http://i.imgur.com/RKcv5kPh.jpg I am so unbelievably thrilled to have a garage that I own and know that I won't have to move everything out of it. -

Damn, that's a really good deal! Even with the $43 for shipping it's still a great deal. Thanks! -

I purchased it from someone in Japan under the pretense it was a jdm wheel, but I'm not sure what the differences are. I did have the center piece but it disappeared with a bunch of my other parts -

Cleaned it up a bit and took a real picture: -
I am in the process of converting my 93 Subaru Legacy from a cable clutch to hydraulic. After plenty of research I landed on a 04-07 STI master cylinder, it bolts right up, however the rod that connects to the pedal is too short. I am able to connect it when the pedal is all the way on the floor, but then it won't come back up because the rod seems to be fully extended already. This is my first experience with any hydraulic clutch components, am I missing something simple? In this photo the clutch pedal is fully disengaged: http://i.imgur.com/ygr7lsph.jpg

Yeah, the clear corners have grown on me, looks pretty clean. I will probably just leave them. Just scraped all of the peeling old ass tint off the windows. Took forever but it looks so much cleaner now. -

Got my driveshaft all bolted up today! I could use some new bushings for the center bracket piece, but otherwise its good! Also got some pre-facelift fender molding that doesn't have a side marker. Looks like the fenders must be slightly different where the molding goes because it doesn't quite line up to the door molding: http://i.imgur.com/jvROsUYh.jpg So what I did was cut off the clips on the back of the molding & taped it up to the fender where it should be, marked the holes on the back of the molding and JB welded some bolts into place. Worked perfectly and now the molding looks great! http://i.imgur.com/ZAhZgbJh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/i6PnvHLh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/O4cnbfAh.jpg Also temporarily put the fender liner in. Looks pretty good but its not perfect. Not sure if its 'not perfect' enough to drive me crazy yet: http://i.imgur.com/Ndw6uYd.jpg
