Nice not a bad idea! I am covering the chrome strip with some matte silver vinyl, the same as the Audi S4 has on the mirrors, if you're familiar

I know, I couldnt believe it! The guy who owns it works at this insane machine shop that makes stuff that I cant even explain. I spent a few hours there today learning about all these different machines and processes they have for producing some of the most insane stuff ive ever seen.

Today was definitely a good day! The guy who bought my old Ej22 told me he had a parts car that I could come pick parts from and he was only a few minutes from where I live! I got all of the window molding pieces I was searching for, and its in pristine shape! Took the transmission off motor yesterday, and sold the motor. I have everything I need now to get the five speed swap taken care of: http://i.imgur.com/ZSHEhpA.jpg I am only missing the metal plate that goes around the shifter inside the car. I'm not sure what it is called, but the automatic one is definitely different.

Shift linkage showed up today. Looks like I need to order another piece :| Here is a picture of what I need, the gold plate: http://i.imgur.com/yRdhmBt.png I searched through the parts sites and I can't find it. Can I just cut the center out of my automatic plate, or does anything bolt to the manual specific plate?

Hahahaha agreed! I put on a second layer but it looked horrible because I didn't take my time and it wasn't sticking too well. I think spraying them is the right way to do it honestly.

It's me, everyone's favorite crossposter! Took this out and cleaned it up. Needed to take it out for manual conversion anyway: http://i.imgur.com/5RG9Wwwh.jpg It's in really good shape aside from some discoloration, and the armrest is beat up. One question I have though, is the shifter surround different between the auto and manual?

Thank you so much! I was going to purchase the glass headlights and accompanying corners, but it seemed silly since my headlights are so clean. Probably something I will pick up down the road at some point. Updates: Pulled the automatic shifter linkage out today and took the console pieces out to clean: http://i.imgur.com/ZKXTwTvl.jpg The before photos of the console are gross, so here is an after shot: http://i.imgur.com/5RG9Www.jpg It still doesnt look perfect as you can see. It doesnt have any cracks or scrapes, its just discolored. Any suggestions on what I can or should do? I suppose I could spray it the same way I did with the steering wheel, and wrap the armrest.
