  1. I spoke to Cobb last week when I was trading V2 for V3 so I can get a re-tune, and the guy on the phone stated while he can't promise a date, there have been some serious talks about getting the ball rolling on the Flex kit for LGTs. I'll take it with a grain of salt, but I would definitely be a buyer. Especially with this winter blend garbage, i'm sticking with 93 right now. I may consider buying E85 from a fuel manufacturer like FTW or VP but I won't chance blowing up my motor for a bit more power if I'm not 100% sure its at least 82%.
  2. Damn hes got some nice stuff there. Love this idea, keep me updated for sure! thanks
  3. This is a true statement right here. I just wish I could afford either. After dumping craxzy $$ into the LGT just wish I wouldve bought a Golf R or S3. Even still, I know my next car is gonna end up being an E39 M5
  4. nice. does he make rear diffusers by any chance?
  5. You need some carbon fiber spats car looks great!
  6. My dads G35X is still running strong today in my sisters hands, although just recently started running into issues with the steering rack at 230K. He bought a cpo 15' S5 convertible that already needed a new tranny at 30K miles, so thats kinda steering me away from VAG. That G35X has been through some shit, 8 straight years of LIE commuting without as much as a hiccup. Can't speak for the newer Infinitis or Nissans, but VQs rock. My old 00 Maxima would still be running today if I didn't wreck it. May she RIP.
  7. Seriously considering a GTI SE after some seat time in a DSG car. If I can sell the LGT for a decent chunk and find a VW dealer whos willing to get me out the door for under 30K, Im thinking thats my new choice over the ST or the new Si when the time comes. Then again im gonna miss the LGTs power and I'll end up modding the GTI and miss the AWD get up and go. I love the Stingers, but that price is unattractive to me...I can't get over the fact its nearly 50K the way i'd want it. Even with the healthy discounts they are offering, its just over my budget right now.
  8. my buddy constantly talks about wanting to swap the ecotec in his NA for an LFX. That seems like a perfect compromise for a all around fun car. Not overly powerful, seems like the perfect setup for me. Id def go that route over the 2.5 if it were me. *edit - im a dumb dumb he already posted about it last page
  9. I am in the market for the accord 2.0t sport 6 speed, but impossible to find in queens, and good luck getting a deal on 1 around here. Hondas sell themselves, they aren't giving discounts on any 2018 models just yet. I really need to get out from under this LGT and finance something that is practical. 450hp is just too much for a 3 mile commute to work, and way too much for NYC roads. Then again, i'd love an E39 M5
  10. opinions on either? https://newyork.craigslist.org/que/cto/d/1999-miata-1991-miata/6437792281.html like the blue one, dependent upon the condition of the body
  11. STF class is still allowed i believe. Its because of the R-Comps and SSF they cant run solo2. That egg shape really hurts it. Just regurgitating info from http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?5366-SCCA-rules-on-500-autocross-eligibility
  12. Abarths are seriously cheap nowadays. they are also seriously shitty driving position and not too sure about reliability. . They sound pretty dope for sure. I've seen them go for under 10K with less than 50K miles. Theres a 2013 in my area on c/l right now for 9K with 58K miles
  13. So based on willtheyfit.com - my setup compared to yours will be 6mm further from the suspension but will also poke 6mm more than before. I'm at about a 2" drop on 18x8 +48 with 225/40 18 blizzaks and do not rub. I think its safe to say that setup will be fine, although you might have to slightly camber the rear. At most a slight roll will be necessary, but certainly no pull. If you have your current rim and tire size handy go onto willtheyfit.com and compare the 2 setups. You should be good to go.
  14. Missed this thread as I started my build in June. No reason for a port and polish on the heads, but I would consider a small cam for usable power over 6000. Im running a kelford 264, and its very streetable and no different than stock cam, but plan to rev to at least 7500 once i tune. Im on top feed 1000s also on my gtx3076r setup, but plan to install my ID 1300s when I spray meth and get the flex fuel kit. Im hoping for 450 on pump with meth, 500 with e85, but i think its wishful thinking. Wish I went with the BCP X500+ or FP Blue. As for $5700, good luck. I was only planning on spending around ~$7000 including labor and my build ended up cresting 5 figures.
  15. True that, just had to do my turn signals and HIDs over yesterday. What a PITA.
  16. Need to find someone who wants an 08 lgt with 6 speed swap and gt3076R with a brand new stage 2 block who will give me 12K or trade me straight up for an E39 M5. I need one of those in my life before i die
  17. Yes i know the camaro ss 1le is what i was talking about. and what an animal it is. Wait, so there was another 20% deal on the ss sedan and i missed it!? the dealer promised to call me -_- mother f i wish i knew about that.
  18. im so jealous, i wanted an ss 6 speed and shopped around for one for quite a while. Found 2, one in red like yours but no one wanted to make a deal. I had just missed the rebates and no one wanted to extend the offer with the rebate to me. Then i found an SS 1LE, white with 3 miles on it, which is currently my dream car. They don't wanna work with me on those either. I can't afford a 43K car payment, so right now stuck in this pos LGT. If i didn't just build the motor i'd be in a new chevy right now. Maybe next year, but only if I can get 10K plus for the LGT, which means ill probably be driving the LGT into the ground lol.
  19. In a perfect world i'd take the Camry XSE with the Accord motor and 6 speed Otherwise, if they actually made last years accord sport with the new motor and trans thatd be my choice. The new Camry is really cool looking, i like what they did with it. It just sucks that every car in NY is a Camry with TLC plates. Too many of them out there to stand out.
  20. So am I the only one that likes the new Camry? So am I the only one that thinks the new Accord is Ugly? Sub 30K sedans, what is your favorite...annnnnnnndddd go
  21. I do love the Chisel, i've been looking at it pretty hard. But just like with everything else its not the right time. When i'm ready it will be between that, the F-Si Carbon and maybe even a lightly used Highball Carbon if I can find one for relatively cheap.
  22. can't believe they have the focus for 18K!? I mean granted no recaros but still a pretty nice car for the $$. I think base price on those focus with the incentives in NY are still 22.6k without taxes. Some people like the recaros, some don't. I came from an Evo X and thats honestly about the only part i miss about that car. From what I hear FiSTs handle a little better because they weigh less, but also come with around 60 less in the HP and tqe depts. What colors do they have in stock? might just have to do some business in VA
  23. So after test driving a 00' outback limited 5 speed with a jdm 2.0l swap and for some reason walking away (i know i know, only $2,000) I decided to stop into Ford otw home and found out Focus and Fiesta ST are getting some serious rebates for 2017 models. Something about a white Fiesta ST with a roof and recaros for 22K out the door is super tempting. Seriously considering it. A far cry from the SS 1LE I had my heart set on, but with that $3000 rebate and these guys really wanting to get these things out the door, I am hard pressed to find a more fun, better car for the $$. Once the LGT is rebuilt it will be a weekend car for sure, and at best i'll hold onto it until next summer, so i'm really thinking this FiST is the way to go.
  24. Thanks for the reference. section width is 9.1 and tread width is 8.6 on the eagle II (assuming thats what these are) whereas section width 9.0 but tread width is 7.2 on the blizzaks...I am assuming section width is what i should be concerned about? Or am I just overthinking this too much? AFAIK the section width is the widest point between inner and outer sidewall, which really isnt saying much if the widest point isnt at the mounting rib.
