  1. If u dont mind me asking, who is doing the work/tuning? I see you are in orange county, so you aren't too far from NYC. I did my work with PAS out on the isalnd and strongly recommend them to tune with Dave Brown. Worth the trip if you ask me.
  2. I did 1200 miles on my ISG stage 2 tuff, then did a tune which isnt balls out but isnt weak either. waiting til i can tune for e85 before pushing her. right now its just on 17lbs but looking to turn it up to 22+ with E
  3. I sat in 1 at the auto show as well...beautiful car, but not for me. I really like the new optima i saw, that grey color
  4. damnitt man stop posting pictures of those nt03s!! I already have enough wheels and dont need more motivation! Volk CE28N Wedssport SA10R BLC SSR Type C thats just the nice ones... as always let me know if you wanna trade
  5. you should look for a nice camber fsr. they're nice to ride (i demod one at my local shop and rented one for a day for the trails by here) and come in 27.5 and 29er. If you got some good dough to spend, step up to a stumpjumper. Im pretty partial to santa cruz too, i just like their geometry, it fits me best. but you really need to test ride some to see what works best for you before you commit. The SC Blur climbs like a beast and is pretty nimble. All depends what you are most after. My first XC bike a Kona Dawg is still kicking after all these years too. Ill never sell it.
  6. I Installed my meth kit, but ultimately im waiting on e85 tune with flex. Havent tuned with the meth and dont plan to, i dont have the correct failsafes in place.
  7. I had my heart set on those wheels til i found my weds. NICE!
  8. For a 29er id go F-Si at a decent price. Depending how much you are looking to spend, felt makes a really nice hardtail also. I'm partial to Santa Cruz and love the chameleon but can't afford anything right now anyway.
  9. yeah tach was working post swap pre-dash pull. We traced wire back from cluster and I think he just got fed up and said **** it. Now that its OBD2, Id imagine hell just run bluetooth to a car app to get all that data. As far as doing it without pulling the dash, I think i'd rather do most anything else in the world. It was already enough of a headache pulling the dash, but I can't imagine being able to replace it with it in the way. Yellow/Black wire is the tach wire IIRC. We lost it somewhere in the harness but im almost 100% it wasn't cut. I thought it was the ECU that delivered the signal and severing it would cause the issue, but even with it plugged back in nothing happened.
  10. Had the pleasure -_- of doing the heater core on special b's ecotec miata this weekend. Along with that power mirror wiring and install, under tray, and some other cool shit to get it ready for summer. Needless to say we buttoned the dash back up and the vband wasn't on correctly so it was leaking. Pulled the dash again, tightened it, checked it out left it running with the dash out this time and all was OK. All in all, about 12 hours of work. Never again lol. Side note, now the tach doesn't work...He did remove the stock computer bc it now has an ecotec in it but even when we plugged it back in the tach wasn't getting a signal. Any ideas? He went a little crazy cutting some wires when he pulled the airbag stuff out, so i'm tacking it up to that (pun intended).
  11. yeah im a wheel whore too, constantly looking for more wheels to never mount and lose money selling. 6 speeds are sweet, but you can have like 2-3 pairs of OG wheels for the cost of a 6 speed swap. I wish they made SA55M in 5x100 18s, Id be rocking them right now. Had them and Emotion 11Rs on my Evo X, they are amazing wheels. Eyeing these pretty hard right now but 18x7.5 is kinda weaksauce : https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-18-RAYS-ENGINEERING-CE28-FORGED-18x7-5-47-5x100-RIMS-SUBARU-IMPREZA-EG985/323112832871?hash=item4b3b068f67:g:57MAAOSw~7BamjAh&vxp=mtr
  12. Randy may have an obp spec b bumper still around...just a heads up. I was gonna buy it but went with the Albero instead.
  13. perfect. I have 18x8.5 +45 SA10Rs in BLC waiting to be mounted on 255/35s if they don't sell this weekend. This is the exact fitment I was looking for. Im a sedan but im sure it will look similar. Just a roll, or you needed a pull as well? Super psyched!
  14. youve prob been asked 1000 times before, but what are the specs of wheels and tires? perfect setup imo. beautiful wago
  15. going pre-facelift with an albero bumper and jdm pre headlights and fenders. I can't think of anyone that actually went back a generation lol. Am I the only one, or does someone have pictures for me of rev a-c front end and d-f rear? Wonder how its gonna look with the 08-09 rear, but im giving it a shot.
  16. Yep, thats what I chose with an sti front lip. cant wait!
  17. now im torn... liberal albero bumper for maximum FMIC fitment or spec b front bumper with sti lip for clean OEM look?
  18. thats pretty sweet, but its not in the states from what i can find. what did everyone do as far as 1) wheel wells and 2) undertray wondering if the RalliTEK skidplate would fit with the front bumper... As far as foglights, i think im gonna pull the zip tie trick. Any issues with JDM headlights mounting up with the usdm headlight mounts? Any other tips or tricks would be appreciated.
  19. I think he was saying both beams i linked on here were the same... I know they are def not the same, usdm and jdm. Just wondering how much cutting is truly involved. I found one for $170 shipped, just want to be 100% sure before ordering it
  20. Awesome, thanks, good to know. Wondering if it makes sense to buy it or just cut the usdm beam now.
  21. that would be awesome. body shop will be doing the work, so i hope i can convince them to do so. Thanks!
  22. 1 is for 05-07 legacy wagon one is for 08-09. maybe they are the same, but i guess the real question is will it fit the rev a-c spec b bumper? looks very similar to this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Subaru-OEM-Legacy-BL-BP-Bumper-Beam-Japan/273073175876?hash=item3f946dfd44:g:~yMAAOSwATxah70q which is made for the bumper, but unfortunately sold out. Otherwise, how much work is it to cut down the USDM bumper beam? also any clue on where to source the brackets for the jdm headlights, or will USDM brackets fit Thanks for the help in advance FYI i tried to search through most of this thread but cant really find an answer. Im swapping from a facelift front end to a jdm rev a-c pre, so I bought fenders, headlights, bumper, grill, and lip. But it appears the bumper does not have the inner metal brackets or fogs (fogs can swap over, can the brackets from usdm?). Also no undertray or fender lining. So if I can bother anyone to let me know what else is 100% needed immediately and what i can source over time i'd be super appreciative.
