  1. Very nice Giovanni, thats what Im using, MX with Torque Pro. Added a few custom PIDs and logging around 30 PIDs in full sensor sweep mode.
  2. Thx Fredrik. Sea-level humid 83F ambient, IAT starts at 93-96F, with cold engine. Idle for 8 minutes to see what happens, IAT rose slowly to 105-115F. Applied throttle to raise RPM up to 3 then 4K RPM. IAT dropped back down to 95F. MAF reading a nice 600cfm. I will see more this weekend as these readings were post MAF/IAT cleaning earlier this week. Last weekend pre-cleaning, I logged a 1.5 hour drive back home from the beach. Ambient 89F, mid afternoon sun. Sun baked engine bay saw IAT of 100 at startup, then climbed up to 110, 120, 130, 140. Mostly highway, then stop and go red lights galore. 50-60mph sections didnt help much, IAT stayed near 120. Just before shutting her down I got a few minutes at 150F in the garage. AFRs, fuel trims, timing, wideband Vs, cfm all looked good (cfm spiked to 1200cfm hehe), same with coolant and atf temps. Car ran fine and pulled well, steady idle too, but intake pipe toasty to the touch. 3. I believe and hope its still ELH (Giovanni, Tim - pls confirm). As much as I'd love some H6 rumble, I don't want to sacrifice performance.
  4. I like those custom headers! Wonder how they will compare to the Raptor sets (ETA next week!)
  5. Found this little gem over @ NASIOC. Skip ahead to 7:15 and enjoy! 7. Yup, 4th gen Outback 3.6L is BRF. 5th gen LGT is BM9. I wonder what the code is for a 5th gen DIT equipped Legacy.
  8. This, plus although your mileage may vary (with the 2014 shocks being a slightly better match to the RCE springs), the 2010-12 shocks are no match for the springs alone. Many of us who installed the springs while we were waiting for the Bilsteins to arrive learned this the hard way. The spring rates on the RCEs ravaged the stock shocks. You need to pair them up with Koni inserts or Bilsteins. Otherwise within a 6-18 months (depending on your driving and road conditions) your stock shocks will be shot.
  9. Yup, ping nstg8r, he's got the front installed with the quick releases. I think he was going to swap the back one too to match. Both GTSpec and Cusco are very nice products, light and well made.
  10. Depending on the place, location and type of dyno - usually about $100-150 for up to 3-4 pulls. If you can go with either a Mustang or a DynoDynamics machine. Inertia, eddie current AWD flavors. Check out their cooling setup too. Area must be clean, well ventilated, at least 1-2 industrial fans.
  11. I've seen a couple CBP Outbacks and two CBP Legacies in my area. Almost pulled over to get them to join the forums. And the other elusives' - Harvest Gold; Tungsten Metallic.
  12. Yup. Giovanni and me have the LWCP installed now. ECS took 10 minutes supposedly to install his. For me, my Transmission Shop mechanic and me tackled it within maybe 30 minutes. First we had to wait 20-40 minutes for the engine block to cool off (stock crank pulley and bolt were still hot when we removed them). Pics in the 'what did you do to your 5th gen' thread, a few pages back.
  13. I should have some pics up next week. Looking at PRS website for more goodies, I've come across their advertising of 'JMO of America' torque converters for the 4EAT and 5EAT transmissions: http://www.jmousa.com/us/flash/frame/main/product/setsumei/index.html The website is a blast to the early 90s past, but the products seem interesting. If you look @ the sample pictures 5, they even bundle TCs with ATF radiators as kits. Fredrik - this looks right up your alley: ADDRESS 709 W. Commonwealth Ave. Fullerton CA 92832-1612 USA PHONE NUMBER 714-738-0621 mailto:jptcu@jmousa.com Too bad these likely don't fit: http://www.prs.jp/products/detail_FS30EX.html http://www.prs.jp/products/detail_BT67EZ.html
  14. As far as I can tell - not on the 3.6. No elastomer rubber insert is present on the stock pulley. However, there is a full section of some type of elastomer that forms a slap almost exactly the diameter and thickness of the OEM ribbed section and makes the OEM piece almost twice as thick as the LWCP. Design-wise it doesn't look like it would play any vibrational damper role. I have it in the trunk so I'll snap some front/back photos when I get a chance. I'm familiar with the concept of harmonic balancers and various vibration issues/solutions on I/V/VR/W configuration 2-8 cylinder engines. From what I've been able to gather an H4 and even more so the H6 does not need a harmonic balancer integrated into the crank pulley. There is even a post or two floating out there (this or the Outback forum) with confirmation from a Subaru engineer that no harmonic balancers are present or needed on the recent engines. To me, with or without, any harmonics and unbalance issues on an H6 will not be as destructive as they can be on non-boxer non-horizontally opposed 3 or 4 cylinder engines.
  15. Yep, they are willing to do a GB for us but I'm tired of coordinating them so if someone wants to step in and run with this I will share the info (contact email and chain offline). GB will net us a better price (likely <$200 including shipping) and if we get over 20 orders I think they can do multiple colors too (silver, black, blue, red).
  16. Thanks Fredrik! I'm very impressed with what 'PleasureRacing' included in the package. They send an OEM-replacement crank bolt, crank bolt cover washer along with the pulley. Built quality is great, weight and balance are perfect too. BTW, you might want to add this link too - it details the item: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4813376&postcount=281
  17. 4-5 psi is perfect for this motor and DD. Sure the 7psi pulley is nice and can likely approac 415-430bhp tuned but the amount of wtq put down would likely need mechanical changes to the 5EAT for durability. I love this kit and think its great as is at 4-5psi. I believe its a watercooled compressor, correct?
  18. Exactly! Spot on Fredrik. BTW, I've somehow managed to bend one of the stock rear end-links with the 19mm RSB back in the day. No auto-x, no track use - just DD, not even spirited DD. lol
  19. How do you like it? Noise/whine-levels @ cruise and under acceleration and WOT; powha levels (especially mid-range torque and peak horzepowha). Car looks great and the color-matched lip works perfect on CWB.
  20. And Paint.NET wheel swapped just for fun! As much as some might like the look, I think the dark on light and light on dark contrast thing RailKill and I went for works best...
  21. Yep - perfectly fine to do that Chris. The stock bore on the TSP6s is very close to our hub bore (I forget the exact diff) so you should be fine running like that for a week or more. Once the hub centric rings come in, just add them in and you'll be good! Can't wait to see your color combo (SWP + Gunmetal TSP6). We'll all take some back to back pics on Sunday. 3 Scoobies with these rims. 2010 GGM Legacy + Hyper Silver TSP6s 2014 SWP Legacy + Gunmetal TSP6s 2015 DGM WRX + Gunmetal TSP6s
  22. For now still the 'old' Michelin Primacy MXM4s in 225/45R18. Just a tad bit stretched. Eventually I will replace these with 235/40 or 245/40s.
  23. Enkei TSP6 Hyper Silver 18x8.5 +45 http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/829/xqy2.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/819/3n68.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/856/92j27.jpg
  24. Took her out on a Sunday prowl, wearing new shoes since last week or so. Enkei TSP6 Hyper Silver 18x8.5 +45 still wrapped in old rubber until it wears out and get replaced with some 235/40 or 245/40 bands.
