Nice. Blue Hellas and blacked out grille look sharp. The Megan's shined up nice. How's the sound?

AWSOME!!!! Contrats and enjoy. Good choice with clear bra and tints.

That's like 6 of my hours plus a trip to the hardware store or two to get an extension, wrench, socket, pull bar ...

From everything I read, Stage II is not making enough power to warrant a colder plug. If it needed it, I would have changed it out when going to Stage II protune.

pro tuned by Chris @ EFI Logics
Opps!! Forgot to reset the ECU to relearn after the new plugs ..... got to go!

Over the last 5000 miles or so, have noticed a drop in power. Stage II -> just above Stage I ish drop on the butt dyno. Same Shell 93 Octane. Just hit 44,444 miles and change the plugs.
This is my 5th Subie but first with turbo. There is a wealth of info on this forum and others. Bottom line recommendation is to din't until 60K miles to change the plugs. My engine could not agree more.
One thing to note is the 5th gen plugs (NGK SILFR6B-8 gap @ 0.032)are different than 4th gen (NGK SILFR6A gap @ 0.030).

The service manager stated plug replacement on the Legacy involved lifting the engine up to gain clearance. So I had them do the replacement. Anyone else change them yet?
The plugs were changed. Did it make a difference?
:wub: Yup back to full power.

From what I recall, some had the hanger, some not. Should not be too costly.

Bump to the top for SSM. Put on Rally Armor mud flaps today.

LGT in RRP is sharp

The 5th gen is sensitive to tire balance and the force exerted by each tire on the road surface. Road Force Balance get this a close as possible while maintaining tire balance. It's a few bucks more than a normal balance
-
OK good to hear
-
One more thing - make sure all four tires get replaces due the need for even trad wear for AWD. For the equiv $$s there a much better all season tire choices. Make sure they RFB the tires and realign....

Wow, that is a nasty impact to the wheel. Trailer hitch?Did the impact push the car at all?
Parking lots suck.
For schwing and Chas, glad you're ok.

Saw another SSM 5th Gen in Mystic, a little after 440pm. Took ramp to I-95 North. May have NC plates. May have seen the same car last week in Westerly on Rt 78.
-
The car goes into the shop on Monday and the insurance company is paying for a rental car.
That stinks. Glad no one was injured. Besides, the door and the trim, what other damage occurred?

Haha. Thanks for the info man. My only question with the bar is, with the extra braces that come with the whiteline 22mm bar, am I going to need to get my rear alignment checked after install? I am guessing that those control arm bolts will mess with the camber some, possibly toe?...
My other question is, on the endlinks (KLC166)...what are the two metal brackets and the two extra bolts for?
I've got the Whiteline 22mm adjustable as well. The brackets do not alter rear alignment.
The brackets replace the OEM brackets since the new bushings are bigger. The bolt connects the brace to the bottom of the bushing bracket. It's just a longer bolt. Here is an example from an 08+ STI that is similar:

The incorrect kit came with a single line for the front and two for the rear. The 5th Gen does not have a coupler or the small hard line for the SS lines to connect with.
So the fronts are good, the rears are incorrect!!
from post 7: "The rear is basically the same thing as the front, only there is no bolt that holds the brake line to the shock body, instead, the brake line is coupled with a small hard line in between the two which is held with along the control arm."
-
no one has broken an end link yet ...
-
My guess is WRX 08+
-
Unless it's been corrected, the Goodridge SS set fit great up front but was incorrect for the rears.
-
Yup - just a personal preference. Had a 2004 legacy wagon in the lighter silver.
Be sure to get a clear bra kit installed to protect the front.
-
So Subaru is replacing SSM for 2012... to a lighter silver as in prior years :confused:
Will not get another car with lighter silver.

20leggy10 - NICE!!
Welcome subieroo

I swore I would not get another silver car ... but this shade made me switch the LGT from graphite grey to SSM

I have the 18x9 Rotas with 245/40 R18s. Not rolled. No issues. That is with stock springs/struts and with RCE Blacks/OEM struts.
Waz rolled them because of the coilovers. He also had 255s on the rims for a while.
