id check to see if your return tube is in good condition. if it leaks to the atmosphere, metered air is escaping and it could cause the exact issue you are talking able.
It's not just that they kill the shocks, it's that the oe or oe replacement shocks arent valved to handle lowering spring rate or the decreased travel range they operate in. So the ride will be crap and the shocks will die faster. Better off just paying once and having the right combination of parts installed once.
1.) meh, you can still do better than that;)
2.) even onramp behavior will improve if you learn to drive it properly. ive seen way to many people, who think they know what they are doing, fail at even the most basic of spirited driving. Doing some autox or an evo school helps a ton.
3.) yep.
step one, tire upgrade. you trying to push the limit on all-seasons?
step two, learn to drive better.
step three, suspension boltons(shocks, springs, then bars)
there are alot more CO options than most people know. you just have to know how to order them, and be willing to spend more since they are mostly built to spec by a suspension shop. dont be afraid to look past the "off-the-shelf" kits that most vendors sell at discount.
^happened to me once, but my 5th split in to 2 pcs clean on a 75% accel on the highway. the rest of the gears were still there so i made it to the dealer, but just barely. With 5th missing from the shaft, the rest of the gears slid down and the h-pattern shifted. it was so weird.
whats wrong with a set of new KYB-GR2s? unlesss yo are gutting them for Koni inserts, they will be better than used OE struts and you can do it for under $60 a corner.
the good thing about this site is that its predictable to a fault. i think the last time tide updated this site was when the 4th gen gt got its facelift in 2008
I see you missed the point. It's ok. You do what works for you. As for the dick measuring contest, I'm the only contestant here, so if that's losing, I'm the biggest loser.
