  1. btw.. HERE is one of the posts i've read. i did search on youtube "2009 subaru legacy gt spec b transmission fluid change" .. but all videos were not whats in front of me!
  2. had read many posts and watched many youtube before shopping all tools (T70 socket and so on) and this morning i finally squeezed myself underneath the car . but then i looked and .. the pic was totally diff from i've seen here and youtube.. so which (red? blue?) arrow is the transmission drain plug? i searched and found some said 6MT shares oil with the front differential. but there is two plugs.. thanks ps: by the way, i'm planning to change all diff fluid as well. ppl said trans, front/rear diff use exact same fluid (i bought 6L of motul 300), true?
  3. ok..will begin to install these couple days...we'll see
  4. oh wait, the dp outlet od is 2"3/8? but a donut i bought is 2.5" to 3" (since i just picked up a 3" cbe) , and their size available online is only either 2.25 to 3, or 2.5 to 3... now what:confused:?!
  5. the exact gasket tht i was confused before RWebb shown me the donut..
  6. Thanks Blake's Garage and hope he don't mind me to post his video here.. jump to 14:08
  7. well, i did lot of search before thinking to stage2 mine. i think a guy on this post (took me awhile to find this post:spin:) brought up a very good point that our TMIC endtank is made out of plastic for staying away from heat conducting. since i'm not asking for serious power. think the stock one is fine, will do fmic if it's broken then protune (coz someone mention the cobb ap won't do well with any aftermarket ic)
  8. got it..thanks RWebb, i also saw few youtubes and yes..they put this "donut" at the end of the dp before assemble the cbe too
  9. thanks Max, i already bought a torque wrench and a 22mm socket. will check how much torque for all bolts/nuts (from dp, heatshield, O2 sensor, cbe and so on.) these couple days while waiting for tools and parts.
  10. so which gasket do i need .. ? GrimmSpeed Universal 3 inch ? or this one with a flaring? or this one that i saw it (sold seperately) with the invida q300 on the IIR ?
  11. oh got it .. much clear than what i've been confused from the forum now... thanks RWebb!!
  12. so can anyone let me know which gasket to mate a 2.5 dp to a a 3" midpipe (Invidia Q300) please?
  13. thought i just need a rear since i'm going to remove the old dp right? or do i need to replace both front and the rear sensors?
  14. ok, found the diameter of invidia q300 midpipe which is 2.992" (76mm). meaning i'm going to mate a dp 2.5 out to a 3" midpipe.. so any recommend gasket for mating cobb dp and this midpipe please? saw grimmspeed has one and was about to order .. but some said " never able to get the grimmspeed adapter to seal up correctly "
  15. Oh thanks for your reminder .. totally forgot this trick!
  16. Absolutely agree my friend, better safe than sorry!! Since 20+yrs ago i started playing go-kart, and tracks. All mods are became self-enjoyment. yea.. sometime i WOT for 2, 3 secs on empty traffic but thats it. .. So, FMIC is kinda too aggressive to my taste and power is really minor specially track race. hey, thanks for you quick replies Max
  17. Q300 and stock are same diameter? then whats the point ppl get turbo-back upgraded?
  18. oh, by the way, do i need any new O2 sensor on the midpipe as well? since i'm also going to change the exhaust and i'll need to unplug the old one anyway. If remove the old sensor, do i really need socket or any simple tools instead, so i won't break anything? thanks
  19. i just placed an order of Cobb dp last nite and asked them (Cobb) if it would come with gaskets for both ends. Cobb replied me no, but i could "re-use the factory turbo gasket and donut gasket. If those are getting old you can get replacements from Subaru directly." here is my question, since i'm going to remove the old dp, i really prefer to just put new gaskets for better sealing. But i could only find the dp inlet diameter is 3" and couldnt find the size of the other end. 2.5"? donut? i'm also thinking to buy Invidia Q300 in few days, and still searching for the size of its midpipe. is Subaru OEM gaskets fit? coz i think the aftermarket exhaust would be little bigger than stock. Beside, i saw some said the stock donut is "male" and won't fit? so, where can i buy gaskets and parts number please? thanks ps: i read so many reviews on both legacygt and nasioc, reviews if Q300 are quite mixed. some said its loud and some think its quiet. i know it's kinda individual preference. but i really want something little sleeper. any suggestion please? i think most of you agree with me and thus you chose legacy!!
  20. First, i checked Cobb website and found their map wouldnt support anything mods beyond turbo back unless protune. plus, i had a miata with jackson racing intake, and the panel(K&N?) gave me lot of troubles. trust me, i really treated (clean/oil?) it well but it just didn't last long.
  21. thought about the TMIC too since i'm living at south of texas with sometime three digits summer, but a friend of mine with 06 STi said havent seen any heatsoak with his stock TMIC...
